I've had motor coaches by Prevost, Blue Bird, and several "regular" RVs, but none did their job as well as my old 1991 Ford RV...the exact model you have shown. I remember that the cab overhang shaded the cab and that kept me from constantly running the AC. I could even drive 70 mph with the drivers window down and the fresh air came in but without all the noise! She was a great RV...and cheap too!

Very nice! I have a 1985 econoline coachman. Its a van with no camper style like yours. I love yours. The front dash of yours is identicle to mine. I had to do a rebuild in mine as the original owners took everything out when they decided not to use the kitchenette, bathroom, and bed in it any longer. They ruined it really. Thanks for the tour I love it!

1991 was the last year for those third generation Ford fullsize vans. Production started in 1975 but the square shaped headlamps didn't come out until I believe 1979.

I have a 1991 Tioga basically the same exact layout. Fiberglass though instead of metal siding which sucks. Fiberglass is a pain to fix. I like how you raised the bed. So much more storage. Also, do you have a part number for the mirrors you used? That’s exactly what we are wanting/needing.

This is a very beautiful mobile home. The new Ford F450 is very noisy. Is it noisy in the cabin at 70 miles these years?

Do you have the 16.5 " wheels? If not what size are you running. I like the motor home. The reason I'm asking is that I just bought one.

Your RV needs a new radiator pressure cap or a radiator cap that's why your radiator is dripping antifreeze or engine coolant that's normal only needs a cap

I never understand why people blur their license plates in videos or pictures. I mean, you show the plate to thousands of people every time you drive it.

Nice , But the ⛽ . Thats got to hurt. How many miles to the gallon 🤔 ?
@scottpage84792 жыл бұрын
I have the exact same rig, same paint scheme, year etc.. I average between 8.6 and 9.3 mpg depending on terrain, cruise speed etc. And yes, it hurts to fill it up but she's a very reliable and comfortable rig and I don't know that similar size gas powered class C's do much better on mpg

Let's try some math. At 8mpg on a 750 mile road trip, that is about 93.75 gallons of gas. At today's price of gas, you're looking at $414.38 for gas (4.42/gal). Now let's compare that to my 20yo grand cherokee that gets 20mpg on the freeway, the same trip would cost me $165.75, a difference of $248. If I want to stop half way to spend the night, that leaves me twice as much money as I need for a room as well as dinner out for a few people. The only advantage an RV gives you is you can take all your stuff with you. and not have to pack/unpack every night and you can pull over in an emergency to use the bathroom. That said, that is pretty good mileage for an older motorhome.

Yea, if you’re in a rush and only spending two nights in an economic hotel then almost the same price. But if you’re taking your time and enjoying the journey then that’s where it’s more affordable having an RV.
