You should probably switch the paper plates and the dishes, put the paper plates on top of the wire rack.

Noticed the front end of the rig sags. I have a load leveler hitch so it keeps the truck and trailer riding level, also another level of security. Since I’m almost always boondocking I rarely use the electric switch on my water heater. I do keep the propane on all the time when traveling to keep the fridge cold. I also stack stuff in the kitchen sink & I noticed I have the same dish drainer you do. Got it on Amazon quite a while back. Was surprised that everything on that shelf over the bed rode so well. I usually keep magazines, spare batteries & other oddball stuff up there & I move it all down to the bed since I assume that’s where it will end up anyway. I have a wall mounted tv in my rig, think I’ve used it maybe half a dozen times. The only reason I got it was that the connecting wires were hanging out looking ugly (realized after that I could have tucked them in & put a cover plate over the spot) & the stereo has a DVD player. Thought I might watch movies sometimes but I never do. That tv was a waste. I like how you’ve been decorating inside. The only thing I’ve ever done in mine was put a couple of my quilts on the bed in place of the generic bedspread it came with. One of my goals for this year is to do a little more to “put my scent” in the rig. I want to make one of Jenny’s little Happy Glamper blocks using some of my scraps & mount it on a wall. And I’m making a small table runner to put on the dinette. I have a Nissan Frontier which is the equivalent of your Tacoma. It handles my rig pretty well but it does work hard on heavy climbing. We always get there, no overheating, but we don’t set any speed records. How did your truck do? Looked like it was doing well but videos don’t always tell the whole story.

Another note on the propane question, my SIL & I discussed it when they got their rv. He said the dealer advised him that the rvs now are designed to travel with the propane on so that fridges can stay cold. Yes it is scary because basically you’re towing a bomb with a lit fuse but SIL pointed out that in a bad wreck even with it turned off there is always the possibility of a tank being punctured. There are good arguments both ways.

@@ruthhilsdorf3210 Thanks for the info on the propane. Our truck handled really well. The truck you saw bringing in the trailer at the beginning of the video belonged to our friend. It was too small for this travel trailer, but the white truck you saw at the end was ours, and it did a great job. I'll be honest though, I'm a little worried about how it's going to do when we start climbing mountains. I think we finally found a camper that we're going to hang on to for a long time, but we're not sure about the truck. Jenny's Happy Glamper block would be perfect. We need to get together and do some sewing!

During our RVing days we had 5 different RV’s and always made sure our RV had double axels. My concern was if you have a blowout now you have only 1 wheel. I love the trailer it’s much like our last one and that slide makes a lot of sense difference.
@GrassRootsLiving9 ай бұрын
We totally agree. We've always advised people, especially full-time RVers, not to get a single axle trailer. We also advised against slide-outs. Yet, here we are, breaking our own rules. lol

My husband was a RV tech. He would first ask you the money that was involved in buying your trailer, and how much for food cost in your refrigerator. Take that for food for thought. If your food rotted, you only lose a couple of hundred dollars I don’t think your trailer was a couple hundred dollars, dry ice or ice packs and put them in your trailer! Enjoy your trip where you may be going.

Good to see you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Rs your upper shelf in the bedroom I have seen some people use packing cubes or soft bins for that space. I put everything on my counter top in the sink when moving also. We use to keep propane on all the time but when we bought our last trailer and now with my MH we were advised to turn propane off when traveling. Everything has been fine so far. Beautiful scenery. I have been to Death Valley many times. Do you know if the road between Pahrump and Death Valley is opened?
@GrassRootsLiving9 ай бұрын
Yup. It's open. It took a while. There are still a lot of roads IN the park that are closed, but all the ones we wanted to drive were fine. That area is too small for packing cubes, but I was so happy that the clothes traveled so well. Thanks for watching!!! We always look forward to your comments. 😊 Merry Christmas!

My Christmas tree did a little dance, but it stood strong! The decorations on the wall, though, neeeded a bit of persuasion to stay put! Good to hear from you. We will be back at Smithville Lake this summer. :)
