We did the very same thing. Upgraded our Dometic 300 to a 320. We had the dealer pick it for us thinking he would know how much room we needed. He didn't pay much attention I guess. We have a 2020 Flagstaff Microlite DS 21. However, I got lucky. I was able to jimmy it in barely. We do like this model toilet and glad it worked since it has a standard toilet seat. My Wife got to liking a bidet during the pandemic. I'll be able to attach the Bidet seat now. Happy Wife, Happy Life!

Nice job explaining the install. I was thinking of getting this just because I don't like the creaking of the plastic on the standard toilet that came in our RV. Plus I like the idea of the sprayer as well. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

Nice video... Thanks! We moved into our 5er about 2 years ago, and missed having a no-slam toilet seat/lid. We have the same model you just installed, and found that they use standard toilet seats. Picked up a wood slow-close seat at Home Despot, and it has worked great. Just thought I'd share that you don't have to buy a special "RV" (more-expensive) toilet seat for the Dometics. Not sure about the Thetford models, though.

Can u show Where & How u installed the Sprayer on the Travel Trailer Wall? Did u measure the Weights of the Plastic Toilet & Porcelain Toilet to get the difference? Did u have Porcelain AND Elongated in your old camper?

Dometic says the 300 standard-height with no sprayer is 8-1/4 lbs, and the 320 with sprayer is 37-1/2 lbs. So, almost 30 lbs heavier.

Our Passport 3350BH has two toilets. I hadn't put much thought into them until your video. I don't really mind the toilets but I hate the plastic toilet seats on them because you can't sit on them when closed. Would have been handy to sit on when I was giving my son a shower instead of squatting next to the shower. I'll have to look into these or if a seat can just be replaced with something more solid. Any guess of how many more pounds the difference was between the toilets?

The all-plastic 300 is VERY light... about 8.25 lbs. The porcelain 320 is about 30 lbs heavier. One of the early upgrades I made to our trailer was to replace the flimsy plastic seat with a wood, elongated, no-slam seat from Home Depot. Most standard elongated seats will work fine on the 320.

Question please. Does electricity push water through a pump to the toilet? I'm trying to figure out how to get water to the toilet on a trailer project if I'm building.

The DC pump draws water from the fresh water tank and pushes it to throughout the RV to all of the fixtures

We better try it before we really have to change it and it's a problem. We have a sprayer in our 1/2 bath. Can't remember if the full bath has one. I use the 1/2 bath most of the time because it's on my side of the bed. LOL I think the hose is too short and it's mounted on the left side so I have to switch hands to use it. I an do diddly with my left hand. LOL

We sold that RV roughly a year after we had installed it and the new owners live across the street from our mother-in-law's. They full-timed with the RV for a year and now it just sits. But for 2 years it worked flawlessly and as far as I know if they decided to take the RV back out again it would probably still work just fine. We installed the same model in our new fifth wheel.

Hello. You dodged a bullet by swapping out that 300 right from go! I just had my 300 that came in my 2022 column 1805RB replaced under Dometic's awesome mfg warranty due to poor design that allows the interior of the toilet's upper shell to siphon fluids out of the bowl and into the air space within. GROSS! For $75 dollars I upgraded to the 310 model that has the upper 1-piece ceramic bowl and the soft-close seat & lid, and not the two plastic upper shell halves...which is where the design failure occurs. I could have gotten a free updated 300 model, but I wanted to stay clear of the 300. If anyone is suffering from a terrible smell from their bathroom area at the end of 2 or 3 days, and no matter how well you maintain your tanks you still smell this horrid odor......take a picture of the 300's model sticker at the back of your toilet and give Dometic a call. I did this last Monday and come the following Saturday evening I had a brand new 310 on my door step. I installed it the next day in 30 minutes. It is worth a shot to see what they might be able to do for you.

Covid has everybody in short supply. So the ones that are available they are trying to get every penny out of that they can. The bone colored one is available for about $322. I would assume that if you wait in about 2 to 4 months they will be back to normal
