I am a Japanese Kuroda fan, so please forgive me if my English is wrong. To overseas people who are difficult to obtain information about Kuroda. Kuroda has a complex family environment and suffered. He was playing an arcade game as a killing time for poor living in childhood. And later he became the 3rd god. Even though he worked, the mother was wasted by alcohol and gambling and remained poor. And did not succeed as an actor either. He felt depressed and became mentally bad. In recent years he was losing interest in fighting games. But to respond to the expectations of fans who want to see his play, he also began fighting the game. Not only 3rd. SF5 and GGXrd are also doing. And he is striving to accomplish by having a movie actor who is a real dream cooperate with Daigo. Because Kuroda and Daigo are fighting gamers born in the same town. The title of the movie project is "9road". Kuroda's presence is always the awesome!!

Thank you very much for this. As an American fan, I had no idea the kind of hardships Kuroda faced growing up. I remember Kuroda saying on daigothebeasttv that he felt that fighting games had left him in a bad place in life and I'm very happy to hear that thanks to Daigo and the fans, it seems like he's managed to pick himself up a bit. I hope Kuroda knows that his displays in 3S are truly inspiring and that he finds himself in a more stable place in the near future.

Watching Kuroda play is like experiencing the Mandela effect in real time. You expect the match to end with him in the losers bracket but when you notice the other team is cycling through their players you're like "Oh, yeah. He did win that last match. So cautious. They show fear to Kuroda by not going in gung ho. That chun li almost had him by rushing him. Perfected him even. But Kuroda has awesome killer instincts and is not to be taken lightly.

14:33 マージかぁ! Chun's Hakkei animation is 26 frames. Q's SA1 has 6 frames of startup, and the CPS3 has 60 ms / 3.6 frames of input lag, leaving Kuroda with at most 17 frames, or 283 ms to react with SA. (To be conservative, I'm saying that the SA reached Chun-Li instantly once activated, since it started pretty close to her.) The median human "choice visual reaction time", or reacting to a particular visual stimulus among many possible stimuli, seems to be 420 ms. But that's for pushing a button in reaction to seeing a specific letter appear, as opposed to entering double-QCF+P, in reaction to the very first frame of a fluid animation, one of several, most of them unsafe to SA against. The guy is a biological wonder. Fun activity: you can pause the video and step through the frames using "." and "," on your keyboard. This seems to be a 30 FPS video, so each frame is two in-game frames. You can see that he nails her right on the last frame of her Hakkei. Sources: Chun's frame count: wiki.shoryuken.com/Chun-Li_(3S)#Command_Moves Q's frame count: wiki.shoryuken.com/Q_(3S)#Super_Arts_2 CPS3 input lag: forums.shoryuken.com/t/3rd-strike-lag-speed-tests/167456 Choice visual reaction time: www.semanticscholar.org/paper/A-Literature-Review-on-Reaction-Time-Kinds-of-Time-Kosinski/2cc72c884223f51be27e0e536d1fb19c1779f513

You're overthinking it. It's not that hard when you buffer the motion beforehand.
@cleangoblin20212 жыл бұрын
Yeah i think it's overthinking at that point. Let's just say a good read and players picks their archetype of characters. What i meant is that they fall in the same habits of pressure moves that a pro can turn in to a whiff. That Hakkei thing is every Chun player's choice of pressure and he knew that it was coming

I remember during a SFIV tournament someone said some player (I forget who) had probably pressed three times as many buttons as SnakeEyez's Zangief and somehow Zangief was winning. I feel the same applies to Kuroda. The guy spends like half his matches just vibing in the corner before obliterating his enemy with like 5 button presses. It's really like he's just messing around before deciding "Okay, ima end this whole man's career" and knocking half their health off in a single combo. Like, imagine how into your opponent's head you are that you can sit there doing NOTHING for like 30 seconds because you've put the fear of God into them so hard that they're scared to even approach you. 5:18 LOOK AT THIS.

Exactly, it's why it's considered by many to be the best SF ever. You'll see non of this uber high skill ceiling like all the trash SF capcom's been making for years. For capcom, it's now an economic decision to have as many players as possible so they make everything super easy to execute and friendly. Sadly a game like 3rd possible will never be made again.
