I love this thing. Kept buying and returning routers since november 2020 😂. Very happy with it. The 6ghz finally working with the latest developer version of windows 10.

I’m in the process of upgrading my home network to 10Gbe on all my wired devices. It’s an expensive but fun project. When this router comes out in Canada I have to buy 3 to replace the 3 AX11000 currently meshed in my home.

You might be better served to look towards a POE router and some PoE access points with Wifi 6 (not e) from a performance per dollar consideration. These routers do not have 10gbe and even fully saturated with LAN, you won't see the full benefit on any wifi device of your 10gbe backbone. The benefit of going with access points will be that you can update them piecemeal as needed in the future and keep that PoE router for 5-10 years before you see any issues. I have the AX11000 and it works well, but I won't be upgrading to a similar unit in the future.

Just ordered one of these. Newegg says hopefully in stock today or tomorrow. I moved from a unifi dream machine (loud and firmware updates constantly breaking controller access) to the Amplifi Alien and it’s much faster but not the greatest range and ZERO management. This and the new AX86U on the way to see which one works best for me.

@@LrgPicture It's insane. It's legitimately insane. I probably spent about $3000 on all the high end routers, mesh setups and access points I could to settle the debate for what was the best option at my home and the AXE11000 has more range and speed than some of the mesh setups like the Velope wifi 6 mesh and the google mesh. Also, what was interesting is that it has SIGNIFICANTLY more speed and range than the AX11000. I thought for sure they would be basically the same but in my test room at the other side of the house where my wife's office is located, I was seeing maybe 40mbps download at best and the AXE11000 delivered consistent 185~200 mbps download tests. Her laptop and my older dell laptop both have intel wifi 6E cards that I installed and each laptop in the same room with the AXE11000 see minimum 900mbps to 940mbps download speed (about the fastest my ISP can go). With standard wifi 6, in the same room, I see avg 850 mbps download. I ended up returning all the other AP's/routers except for the Asus AX86U and have that setup as an AI mesh node. I was SUPER impressed with that one given the low price and have it setup with an ethernet backhaul over to the other side of the house so now, basically anywhere in the house I'm seeing 700~850 mbps download on 5ghz and about 450 or so on 2.4ghz. The fact though that the AXE11000 had better coverage and speed than some mesh setups was really impressive. I think that if your environment has a lot of walls and the capability to connect mesh nodes with ethernet, a pair of the AX86U units would be great. It doesn't have the range the AXE has but at $250, you can get a couple of them for less than the price of the AXE and get potentially better coverage. There is no speed difference on wifi 6E, it's just a more efficient spectrum when it comes to isolating your traffic from everything else. Also you have to have windows 11 and the drivers were a bit fiddly to get working properly AND the router has to have it's channels split up and quite a few of my devices didn't like that and had a hard time connecting. It was a lot better experience overall when I had the wifi bands all lumped into 1 wifi network and just let the devices and the router decide which band to connect them to. So overall, I think that wifi 6E isn't ready for most people but the power and range of the AXE11000 makes it a compelling product if you don't have a huge house and/or lots of walls.

I could have done without the constant DisRespect imitation. You failed to mention the difference between WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E being that the 6E standard has an addition of the 6ghz band which helps reduce noise and further enhances transfer speeds, latency, and battery life of compatible WiFi 6E devices.

6ghz is working amazing now! They just released the first windows 10 with support, and the first driver which it downloads with that version of windows. Unfortunately is a developer version, but I'm not going back, I had issues with DFS on the 5ghz band.

Hey bud. So yeah the wifi 6ghz Is the backbone to connect the az11000 so its not much use In a mesh system unless you connect the two with a ethernet as a backhaul. my ps5 wouldn't connect to it as wifi 6E so that sucked. I'm gonna pass on It, stick with my ax11000 and use ax6100 as my 2 nodes. :)

@@TheRafcave hmm, always hiccups with the 1st of a new tech. It might be a setting in wireless that needs configuring to use the 6ghz or the ps5 needs a update 2 enable it. Amazon is showing May for it now so I'll have 2 wait to experiment with it n hopefully they roll out some updates🤔 I saw a few reviews of people having to tweak some things on the axe11000 to get wifi6e working on the Samsung s21 ultra 5g. Imesh should work 4 legacy devices, I'd think 2 axe11000 would b required 2 extend wifi6e.

Its not 9.6 GIGABYTES. its should be 9.6 GIGABITS.... fro example ......Gigabits per second (Gbps) = 100 Gbps Gigabytes per second (GBps) = 12.5 GBps... so people would not be confused.

@@EbikeAdventuresSD totally agree, it’s a fairly basic chip in the PS5 and will not support 6E. The problem wit 6E is the drop off as seen in tests on SNB so it’s good for short range only due to power restraints. With Qualcomm’s announcement of WiFi 7 in 2024 I’m wondering if if 6E will not be well supported by third party devices. SNB show the drop at 40dbm which is mighty close. Time will tell.

Make sure the 6Mhz wifi Is activated In the routers settings. Then your 6Mhz device will connect to that band.

Not really, with this you get two fast bands. The ax11000 only got one fast 5ghz band. Plus the 6ghz doesn't have DFS channels, which is a huge improvement. Most people have issues with DFS channels.
