Well….beautiful people, beautiful gravel, beautiful country, beautiful vlog ( and all Maddy boxes ticked with the doggo at the end) PS If those two guys climbing that hill on single speed bikes with 2 milk churns on the back ever turn up to a race …

Amazing location lovely looking views everywhere and those kids were so cute and friendly wow. You did a great job capturing this adventure Maddy. Bloody hell those two guys with the massive metal containers were beasts; I can just imagine them crushing some mountains without all that weight. Great group of girls with you too. That was a wicked sand section yikes. This trip was fueled by #Fanta sponsorship welcomed #Fanta. That Ecolodge was crazy sweet. Rwanda cycling destination 100% #rwandatourism bring this girl back she's a great ambassador for your tourism.

Crank Brothers do a spacer plate that brings the cleat away from the shoe just enough to save you cutting bits of the sole.- worth a try.

That looked like fun, but pretty gnarly roads compared to Scotland. Must be pretty challenging to race on. Do you ever fall off, Maddy? Thanks for the vicarious climbs, and the views - just lovely.

I actually didn't fall off all week!! Typically I do not, but see Santa Vall video for something that contradicts that

You should do a bike-packing across Africa. Love these views and the people! How does it compare to Kenya?
@maddynutt3 ай бұрын
Would love to do a trip like this one day! Very different to Kenya. Different scenery, Rwanda has a lot more hills! Rwanda also feels a lot safer as a woman riding alone for example

Did you organise this with a travel agent or by yourself? It'd be awesome to know how to replicate this or a similar adventure with local guides
@Maxd5553 ай бұрын
It’s all been organised by travel agent Rishi Sunak he send now everyone to Rwanda 😂

Organised with Tugende based in Rwanda. They also organised a driver for us. Violette is a local guide as well as a racer. You can find her on my instagram :)

I don’t think I will ever complain again about riding up hills again, when I see Rwandans riding a basic bike, wearing sandals & having two heavy milk churns straps to their bikes.Huge respect for these lovely people. I expect to see you employ the new ‘resistant training methods’ ie strap a 6ft door to your bike.

We flew with Rwandair. Actually wasn't ridiculously pricey and they were such a good airline. 2 x 23kg bags means you can bring lots of nutrition too
