Right, and that such a weird plot point. Jacques was always selfish, but up to this point he was never dumb about it. Letting Watts run rampant with his Council level access was obviously high risk, and would blow back on Jacques the moment things went south. I don't see how V4, marry-into-the-family Jacques would just agree to that without at least plausible deniability.

The Schnee family semblance allows them to summon a Grimm they had defeated in the past (Bit more to it than that but for simplicity's sake). Weiss's Knight was a composite Geist Grimm that possessed her Grandfathers suit of armor. She defeated it in the RWBY White trailer.

I partially agree! I wouldn't say he made the best decisions. The "best" decision would have been to try and get Robin on his side in order to keep Mantle calm/ under controll whilst building Amity tower. By keeping her out of the loop he only further antagonising her (and the majority of Mantle) and ultimately even pushed her to sabotage the construction of Amity tower. But he definitely didn't make terrible decisions either and you definitely can't blame him too much for what has happened so far! So yeah, I'd say he was doing fine or even good....but definitely not outstanding. Because his unwillingness to include anyone from Mantle has caused way more harm than it has done good.🤔😕 Oh and before you start with the argument that Ruby didn't trust Ironwood with the full truth either (which potentially could have helped him make bettter decisions) and that this means that Ruby has ultimately made a similar mistake in not trusting people: That's absolutely true! But just because Ruby has a flaw, doesn't mean that it's ok/ it can be ignored that Ironwood has the same flaw. They both were trying their best. But neither of them was perfect, neither of them did an outstanding job and neither was the infallible messiah that could have saved everyone. Don't get me wrong: Ironwood hasn't been a bad leader at all so far but he hasn't been perfect either. So putting him on a pedestal doesn't help anyone and doesn't reflect the truth either! But at the same time, the same goes for basically everyone in this show! Because no one is perfect and allways makes the best choices!

Despite its lyrics maybe being a bit cheesy, the first Volume's lyrics are basically telling the story of the show. (and the show's theme is a bit cheesy) As far as jumping out of the plane, you do recall the kids' first test in V1 being landing from being launched into the air? This is normal. lol Also the implication is that Oscar and Oz are still merging and it is progressing. Emerald and Mercury are with Salem, who we also haven't seen this Volume. Cinder was not with Salem last volume because she hasn't been with Salem since she lost at Haven in V5. Normally I'm not one to rag on you guys for missing stuff because I get that things can be missed, but lately y'all have started to forget a large number of major plot beats. That's going to make fully comprehending what's going on in this series very difficult.

Fun facts Fact 1: The episode title refers to a phrase which means "to explain why and how the world works." Fact 2: Jaune almost vomiting on the airship is a callback to his debut in "Ruby Rose". Fact 3: The AK-200s that the Grimm were able to overwhelm in only a few seconds were meant to represent that Atlas wouldn't provide them with much defense against Grimm because they don't care enough. Fact 4: The Teryx's first appearance is a callback to Jurassic Park. Fact 5: It was difficult to keep shots in the dining room interesting. Fact 6: Every storyline was coming together in this episode, and it's tricky to make a setup episode like this not seem like filler. Fact 7: Throughout volume 7, they made sure to have an orange glow represent the heating in Mantle since the writers knew it would be turned off in Cordially Invited. Fact 8: Ruby and Oscar's awkward interaction came from them both 'riding the high' of the moment when it seems like they each have great plans that will go well. Fact 9: The writers struggled with where to put the reveal that the waitress was actually Neo.

I think Ironwood was doing the best of what he had at the time. He wasn't able to speak the truth cause he didn't know who was a spy for Salem, and as shown now even with all that caution Neo managed to sneak peak what's going on and telling Cinder. Hiding the Amity plan was top priority to him cause it was their triumph card to get out of a bad situation with no easy solutions.

The paladin incident finally explains why they were automated in time for the fall of Beacon; all part of Watts' plan. Love grandfather Schnee looking over Ironwood's shoulder as judgement is delivered. It should have been Ruby telling Ironwood about Salem, but under the circumstances, it's understandable. Still, when Oscar asks Ironwood to tell the truth, Ruby could have followed up with, "You're not alone. We have truths to tell, too, but we can still do this together," or something. I guess the writers thought the cutesy Ruby/Oscar interaction was more important.

Neo's transforming animation has definitely improved over the volumes. It looked especially pretty in this chapter. I never really liked this volumes intro from an animators stand point, in my opinion it's too long with scenes/cuts that are unnecessary (it feels more like a cheap AMV than the 7th intro) the song is good though.

From an editor's stand point, it's a very good intro with well timed cuts and great symbolism. It teases what's to come while keeping things moving and action-packed. Compared to the last 3 intros it flows much better and is more interesting. The music is great and very inspired.

Nah its just plot issues. They could fix the wall within a few hours easily. We even see Weiss use Earth Dust to put up walls within seconds beg enough to block the hole. They have been there for months and had plenty of opportunity to fix it. Its just bad writing.

Mantle was only barely in his consideration; if he were truly doing everything he could, he wouldn't have needed Nora or Robin to remind him.

Finishing the comm tower was top priority in order to reestablish global communications and coordinate with the other kingdoms. And keeping the fleet around Atlas is necessary because Atlas is Salem's prime target the maiden and relics are there, as well as the bulk of the military and firepower. Mantle is expendable, Atlas is not. And he definitely doesn't need Nora or Robin to remind him because Robin was hindering his progress, and Nora isn't even a citizen, therefore she has no say in the matter.

Yes I felt like I was going crazy because he keeps saying Vice but every time anyone says Weiss it has a very clear W sound not V. And yet he still says Vice 💀😭
