RWBY AMV Ricochet [Adam Taurus Tribute]

Love or hate him, Adam Taurus has been through much. And now that he is gone it seems only fair to send him out with a tribute.

Unlike the rest of these people who say that "Adam was wasted potential" ad nauseam, I want to thank you for actually portraying the Adam that we got in the show. That song is pretty perfect for Adam, one of the best I've heard for him. Your view of him in this video basically aligns with mine. The lyrical choice and the scenes chosen for each (aside from the SDC raid, but not much you could do there) were set meticulously. There is something haunting about the "We were one in the same, drawn like moths to a flame", you'd hang on every word I'd say, but now they only ricochet." I could not think of a more proper simple explanation between Adam and Blake. Furthermore the lyrics about building walls and trying to be open, only for the singer to realize that the only one who built walls and shut out the world was him, is poetic when it comes to Adam, granted its debatable whether Adam ever saw that he was the one who pushed Blake to leave him. And finally, the real topping of this which keeps it from being just a normal repentant love song... "All these broken souls, never make me whole." What an ideal way to talk about how Adam's attempt to usurp the White Fang was done to fill the void that Blake left in his heart and again the song portrays it best "They won't know my heart, it's the darkest part". How true that rings for Adam. So thanks for this video which aligns perfectly with my view of Adam, not as some wronged hero, not as some sadistic psycho, but as an all-too human man whose slow transformation of becoming a beast due to his tragic past was accelerated when the one thing he loved was lost to him.

It's a real shame that Adam ended like this. He was once a morally gray villain/antihero that had a justifiable goal after what humans did to the faunus. But thanks to CRWBY and Arryn and Barbara that hated Adam to the point of writing him off and making him a crazy abusive ex, Adam wasn't even supposed to be a romantic partner to Blake, even she said that Adam was more of a mentor than a partner, which meant that either Blake liked Adam but Adam didn't care/notice or they had a thing but Adam kept it professional and grew distant the more violent he got. But yeah sure let's have the VAs have an influence on the plot line along with the fans as well, congrats Miles and Kerry, you killed your most interesting villain just to pander the most stupid ship in RWBY because you can't write a damn story. Who wants to go to an rtx, ask and record Miles and Kerry as to wtf they're thinking when writing off Adam, I'd love to see what they would say to justify it, but Barbara would say "iTs A cArtOooOoOooOn"

A real shame indeed. I mean, the least they could've done was make Adam angry at Blake for not just leaving him, but also for making friends with a bunch of humans, including a Schnee, which would make him more than just a psychotic ex-boyfriend. And speaking of Weiss, knowing that Adam has an SDC logo printed over his eye, they should've given her a role in Adam's story and left Yang the fuck out of it.

@@infinitypercival5958 exactly!!! They had so much potential to work with Adam, imstead they threw everything that made Adam who he was back in vol 1-3 out the window. His hatred for all humans, getting back at humanity and making a better world for the faunus using any means necessary. His goal to be High Leader was thown out in an instant after he got it. It also could've given Weiss more of a characterization for her to stop what Jaques is doing to the SDC cuz they're creating people like Adam. But noooooooo make him an abusive ex, that's why Blake ran in the Black Trailer and not cuz of Adam having different ideals than Blake that pushed her away

It's sad that the fans can make a better plot than a giant ass company like RT can. Then again all the SJW bullshit probably messed with what little bit of rationality they had and threw RWBY out the window
