Its a logical theory, everything from Ruby's fighting style, choice of weaponry. outfit, hair colour, and even her personality matches well with Qrow. In addition its quite clear that she has a deeper relationship with Qrow over her own dad. Until we learn more about Summer Rose and team STRQ the question will continued to be raised.

El Chupacabra06 Taiyang is Ruby's father. I believe Qrow trained Ruby and that's why her fighting style and weapon is similar to his. Ruby's mom, Summer Rose, also had red and black hair so that's where Ruby got it from.

Yes Taiyang is Ruby's father though Qrow could have easily been her true biological father. Its quite hard to believe that Tai would make Raven pregnant with Yang then one year after she leaves Tai then gets Summer pregnant with Ruby. Yes its possible though unrealistic, therefore we need to know Summer's and Qrow's relationship as Qrow seems like the type to get Summer pregnant and have her and Tai raise Ruby while he continues to work under Ozpin.

From what we've seen in the show, Qrow is shown to be closer to Ruby than Tai is since he's the one who trained her. The same can be said about Tai and Yang. Henceforth, Qrow is there to act as Ruby's Parent while Tai is there as Yang's
