RWBY: Hero - Orchestral Metal Remix

This time, I only had to partially transcribe the track by ear, with a reference for the verse-chorus 1 being available. While transcribing the bridge was easy, I really struggled with the intro as I for the life of me couldn't figure out all the tempo changes. Where as in previous tracks, I could use the percussive nature of a piano to keep time, here it was all just straight notes with some rolls that didn't really tell me anything. I was just about ready to give up and skip the intro when it sorta clicked. The tempo isn't matching the original - at all - but it works in its own right.
After the intro, I knew I wanted to include the segment from the episode ver. Transcribing this was again, pretty simple, helped by the fact that most of it is just a instrumental of the chorus.
When it came time for arranging, I did puzzle a bit on what to do, with things going through a bunch of chord voicings and instrumentation. For example, I originally had a solo violin in the first verse, but I decided that was plain cheesy, so I scrapped that.
Though by far the trickiest thing here was getting the vocals mixed right. With how it bounced around between from pretty low to stratospheric, my usual mixing tricks weren't cutting it. I tried a bunch of different things and ended up with a bunch of variable stuff, with less or more of e element during different sections of the song.

I have been waiting for this one to come out since I discovered your project months ago. It did not disappoint, this was a glorious remix. This track doesn't get nearly as many remixes and love as it deserves, and you did it justice with this remix. You really captured both what it was like to hear it when it first aired in episode and when the full version dropped. I love it

I recently found your channel and I love your covers and ironwood was my favorite character until Volume 8 where they ruined him but I love this song because I have used it multiple times because there are some friends that I have where I would literally do anything for them

@@NailikNoteworksI think Hero has those leitmotifs in Jeff’s notes since that Alex Abraham helped composed it in V2. I think he is a genius where some songs are ambiguous where we make a decision if it narrated a character or environment’s story

I get that question a lot, but nah. I'm not on any of the streaming services. Aside from potential copyright headaches, I don't think that would be in my best interest. Like, I'll be real. My channel pretty much is sustained by returning viewers. If this stop coming because my stuff is elsewhere, the channel would be pretty much dead.
