Indeed, though can you blame him? As far as he was concerned, the fact that they brought the car of the most brutal and infamous assassin out there to his shop after killing his dog, he knew that was the first place he would go, and that he was likely gonna be dead simply by association. It was also why he was so quick to give up Viggo's son after punching him. Again, he saw himself as a dead man walking, so might as well sock him one.

You have no idea Oscar. There is a reason why Viggo tells his idiot son "It's not the deed I am upset about it's who you did it to that angers me." And when Isoef tries to act like John is no threat Viggo gives his son a lecture on how dangerous the former marine turned contract killer is he even mentions the time John was reported to have killed 20 targets in one room with nothing but a pencil, and relays how John completed an seemingly impossible hit Viggo wanted done so he could be seemingly free from Viggo's service and live with his wife, and of course Viggo relays to his idiot son John's iconic nicknames "Baba Yaga", and "The guy you hire to kill the Bogeyman."

To be honest of all antagonists I truly feel sorry only for Mercury and Hazel. First one was turned into a mindless machine and a monster by his father, and that's what got him killed - a stick that broke camels back. And Hazel - his sister was sent by Ozpin on impossible task that led to her KIA-d in the end.

That part at the start that says the most dangerous creation in society is a man who has nothing to lose is very true because once you have nothing to lose you no longer fear death or danger of any extent and will even advance on an enemy combatant if you know it means your death is guaranteed without any second thoughts or hesitation etc and I know this from feeling it first hand as I felt at one point in my life like I had nothing left to lose but after remembering some of the things that the one I lost said while they were alive during the last 2 years of their life as my teen love partner who died at only 16 years old I realised that there was always a new day otherwise I might have torn the one responsible for their death to shreds for killing the only person other than my family that I loved and it was only because of remembering their words during those 2 years we were together as lovers that I choose not to go down the revenge route but I have never forgotten about that special person in my life even though 16 years have passed since they died I will never forget their beautiful personality or the way they were for the rest of my life they are irreplaceable in my heart for all of my remaining years of life and trust me when I say if you EVER COME ACROSS A PERSON WITH NOTHING TO LOSE THEN STAY WELL AWAY FROM THEM BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE AS THEY WONT FEAR ANYTHING OR ANYONE THEY CROSS PATHS WITH WHEN IN THAT MINDSET AND ARE UNPREDICTABLE
