So when we first see Neo she appears exactly as we last saw her, then in the alley her clothes were torn and she had Torchwick’s hat on. She was using her Imagination semblance to project a pristine vision of herself to intimidate Cinder, but as she took the fight more seriously she dropped the mask. She’s obviously been living rough since she lost Roman.

Fan-favorite Neo is back! The song that plays during her fight with Cinder is "speaking" for her. And I love the little exchange at the end of that scene. "Let's talk" Neo just points at her mouth. "Right." Cinder might have been holding back more than she would fighting an enemy, but even without the maiden powers I think Neo was really giving her a run for her money.

It's possible that Neo doesn't fight those that she feels is out of her league, like the maidens. We saw that Neo retreated in Volume 2 when Raven showed up to save Yang(damn that one time rule), and here we saw Neo battling Cinder before Cinder busted out the maidens power. Now not saying that Neo knew that Raven was a maiden, but it does make you wonder.

Oh, Cinder could have wrecked Neo at any point in that fight if she wanted to, even without Maiden powers. As shown last Volume, Cinder is at least on the level of Raven Branwen, whom Neo fled from instantly. Even able to fight with the most skilled fighter in the franchise (Ozpin) for a while and slay him in battle. The fact that Cinder was fighting barehanded against a bloodthirsty and armed Neo and still getting good hits in shows just how much Cinder was holding back in this fight.

Volume 6 has my favorite soundtrack of all the Volumes! One Thing (the song that plays during the Neo vs Cinder fight) is one of my top 5 favorites of the franchise! Below is a theory that was circulating when this episode was released. I only describe the theory as well as the points that give the theory credit, and I don't say whether the theory was accurate in any way so i don't think i spoiled anything, but feel free to not read the rest just in case I did spoil something There was a fairly popular theory when this Chapter was released that the farm RWBY and the others were at had something to do with Torchwick (the main points used for this theory were Neo's return in the same episode, the name Brunswick has the same ending as Torchwick, and the kids in the picture look similar to what child Roman and Neo could have looked like)

Fun Facts Fact 1: Neo has begun to evolve her semblance, as shown in the fight. Fact 2: Neo wasn't originally planned to be in this Volume, but was added when the writers thought of what they could do to make Cinder's storyline better. Additionally, they found the idea of Cinder having a partner in Atlas cool. Fact 3: Miles and Kerry explained Yang and Blake's misunderstanding as due to Blake not always getting the nuances of her relationships, hence why she ended up saying the wrong thing to Yang.

Now she's showing it off everywhere. Even out of combat. Even when walking with Cinder at the Salem base. She never used it out of combat in Vol 2. She just dropped down from the air with no floating.

@@kingsleysh8070 despite being canon, she was only able to do it in the book since it was written after vol 3 and 6. What they "picked up on" is the last time she was on-screen before vol 6 which is her floating away with the umbrella in vol 3. They used that floating to make her reappearance in vol 6 as a nod to vol 3. Letting the viewer know that she made her past failure work for her.

One thing that I want to point out is about Ruby and Weiss. In this episode we saw that Ruby try to cheer up Weiss because she really care about her, but we also see that Weiss emphatis with Ruby. When Ruby seem worried about Qrow with the bottles, Weiss understand quickly, as she know too weel how it is with her mother (like she said to Yang in Volume 5).

Cinder loves to flaunt her power in an open fight, but she's trying to keep a low profile now she's cut off from Salem's support. She doesn't get her weapons out until after they go outside, where it's dark and foggy and empty. Which, given how Little Miss just stabbed her in the back is quite reasonable. Love this episode, and the next. Good creepy-mystery plot, and some great character moments. Poor Weiss looked so vulnerable in that shot in the doorway. And I like how they're playing out the slow and clumsy rebuilding of Yang and Blake's relationship.

This chapter got me really pissed at FIRST members. You have to understand that at this point, FIRST members (exclusive RoosterTeeth membership) got to see RWBY a week prior to it being released for free to everyone else. Being unemployed at the time, I had bigger concerns than paying for a membership. But I didn't really have a problem with the week difference... until... But this chapter... EVERYONE posted Neo, Neo, Neo EVERYWHERE. Twitter, KZbin, Instagram... I would have loved to see the reveal on watching the chapter, but FIRST members spoiled it. I unsubscribed to one particular reactor because it was the second time that he spoiled, he made it big as a reactor, but I was pissed off towards everyone that was spoiling a reveal like Neo. There were theories being thrown around at the time, because the hat was a hint. Torchwick showing back up (somehow surviving being eaten and explosion), Neo appearing, or a new character associated with Torchwick in some way. But it was irritating to say the least that I couldn't share in the hype, because of spoilers.

This chapter showcases just how manipulative Cinder can be, making look like Ruby was the one who killed Roman when he actually died by both Cinder bringing the Grimm and by his own hubris. Slight spoiler, next episode is going to be so terrifying that you all will be speaking in either your native language, multiple languages, or made up languages. I know I do every time I see the next chapter.

Well, things are definitely starting to escalate. It’s still a mystery to me how Neo survived that long fall from the airship, even with her parasol. But she has strong survival instincts, and carries a grudge, so that explains at least a little. As for our protagonists, it’s the next episode I’m especially excited for. You’ll see why.

Neo was added in volume two because someone realised they needed an extra character for the tournament team; but she became so popular, it was only a matter of time before they brought her back. (Unlike some Neo fans, I haven't forgotten her smile when she was about to kill Yang on the train... but compared to Tyrian?) In case you haven't twigged to it, there's gravity dust woven into Neo's parasol. Oh, and the group photo in the farmhouse? There was a fan theory that the youngest two children were Roman and Neo, until their 'origin story' book came out. As you're about to see, it would've been a hell of an explanation for Neo being mute... Burrito Weiss. Just saying.

I’d argue that Cinder is potentially the best fighter in the entire franchise, besides maybe Ozpin himself. Her loss to Raven was more in part due to her debilitating injuries and the fact that Raven had literally over a decade longer than Cinder to master the Maiden powers, and yet Cinder was still able to keep up with her for the most part despite being half Raven’s age. I think the only thing really standing in the way of Cinder’s utter dominance in combat are her significant injuries and weakness to Silver Eyes. Skill-wise, there’s almost no one who can beat her in terms of pure fighting ability. Though I have a feeling that Cinder may overcome one or more of these disadvantages later down the line as she continues her quest to become the most powerful being in the universe.

@@GenZealous Not in my eyes, Salem was the very 1st person we heard in this whole story in Volume 1 episode 1. She was the 1st character created by monty in this series along with the rwby girls, confirmed by Miles and Kerry. The main story revolves around salem, she is montys main antagonist and big bad. Its believed that salem role has been largely undermined, Cinder should of died in volume 6 at the hands of Raven, just before the lost fable episode, but Miles and Kerry kept her around, Cinder aint montys main antagonist that's for sure. Salems voice actor jen Taylor is very expensive, thats why they use cinder as much as they do and salems screentime is reduced.

I feel like Cinder is still more of a main villain than Salem. Even though Salem is technically the "top" villain, at least for the time being, Cinder has always been kind of _the_ "main" villain. In many ways from our perspective, Cinder has been written as the main villain of the show because she's been written as one of the main *_characters_* throughout pretty much the entire series, which only adds even more intrigue to her character now that we have at least part of her backstory. Cinder has far more ongoing conflicts with most of the characters than even Salem does. And while Salem is more of a nemesis for Ozpin, Cinder is more of a nemesis for Ruby, Jaune, and numerous other characters who cannot be named yet due to how far these guys are currently in the story.

That line with Blake was a little bit weird. "His real power comes from control". No it doesn't. It comes from being a strong fighter. One of the strongest if not the strongest in the entire White Fang. Was a bit of weird line to add in ngl since Blake should know how dangerous Adam is.

Another Funfact Neo's crusade to get revenge on Ruby is a misunderstanding, because she thinks Ruby killed Roman, but Roman actually beated Ruby and then begfore killing her, a Grim eated Roman... so if something, is his own fault (or Adam's) 🤔
