I’m happy that Team RWBY, Team JNR, and Oscar forgave and trust Ozpin for what happened, now the only person left to forgive and trust Ozpin back again is Qrow.

Ozpin's voice is so much calmer now that he's dropped the authoritative lilt (and merged a bit with Oscar -- I am STILL not over how well Shannon and Aaron are blending the Oz and Oscar voices & speech patterns. Like holy *heck,* in parts of Midnight, Risk, and Creation he sounds *just* like Oscar). Oz isn't expending effort on appearing confident, in-control, and detached anymore; he's learning from Oscar how to be sincere and vulnerable, and it shows both in his voice and his dialogue. Character development, 10/10! I like this new era of Ozpin, Oscar's more intimate, grounded demeanor suits him nicely :) (And he co-opted Oscar's puppy dog eyes which will never not be funny to me) Also RIP to perhaps, indeed, shall, however, etc. Been reviewing his dialogue over the volumes and in v7-8 he's been using fewer adverbs, old-fashioned/formal words, and his sentences are much shorter and to the point like Oscar's. Looking back at his v5 lines gives me a headache lmao, he talks how I'd write in high school when I had to pad the word count XD But now his dialogue doesn't feel pre-written; it feels natural and genuine. Old man Oz isn't talking so old anymore...

I'm gonna go on a limb and say my hot take: Ozpin doesn't deserve the amount of hate that he still gets today. And this isn't my fangirl ass talking. I know secretiveness isn't a good thing as it can hurt both yourself and others who care about you, but can you really help it when knowing the truth could be as big of a responsibility as the one he carries on his shoulders, for thousands of years?

Yang was a big Hippocrate when oz kept secrets oz was betrayed countless times and when the situation demanded it he was willing to yang had no right to be angry she didn’t telling anyone about her mom being a maiden and she and Blake told Robin about amity and didn’t say anything until ironwood chewed her and black out about it

My only disappointment with the fusion of Oscar and Ozpin is that we don't get a double layered voice when Ozpin takes over. It would've been cool for it to be really pronounced in earlier seasons, with Ozpin's voice steadily growing quieter and quieter as the seasons continued until it was just Oscar's voice remaining.
