That with a rear diff, manual gearbox & driveline line out of a wrecked Corvette you could buy for cheap. So the weight of the smaller gearbox is in back & making more room up front.....I'm not sure if that's a mockup automatic trans or if he's gonna use it but can't picture an automatic V8 CRX.

Couple ideas? Maby make the body completely removable think quick change kind of setup in the event engine has to come out yo might thank yourself, also for the inside have a removable doghouse like the old vans might make for easier engine maintenance. Just a couple thoughts I had while watching. Keep the awesome builds coming man!!!

Casey buddy,...if the factory engine crossmember is a problem and you're not happy with the engine sitting so far back into the passenger area .... You're a WELDER and FABRICATOR! Chop that center section between the A- arms and put in two verticals and a horizontal using structural C channel and box it with 1/4" plate for strength. You'll be able to determine your own ground clearance and have a nice squared area for the oil pan to be positioned forward or aft of it wherever you like. You could even engineer into it the optimal width of your wheel rotors if you're not happy with your new wheels and want to use the S-10 wheels 🤯😄.

WoW !!! 👍 👍 I wish I knew enough to build a CRX from scratch like that.... Question: Can an airbag suspension setup handle as good or almost as good as a good sportscar suspension??? If so, what about finding a Corvette rear diff, gearbox & driveline that could mate to the engine for cheap out of a wrecked vette??? The rear gearbox would make for better weight distribution ratio & free up space up front, if needed..A manual CRX is more fun to drive than automatic. Rear mounted gearbox, rwd, V8, CRX with a nice body kit on it & functional wing on the hatch = Pure Awesomeness......Would rival an older V8 swapped Porsche.

Love your style brother, looks sick 👌 glad i found this channel. Thanks for the inspiration, one thing i learnt building trailers is that on the draw bar or main bearer you should try only weld linearly, ie not vertical welds as the bouncing can cause a crack pretty quick, safety first, or you could plate over it.. ✌

What if instead of creating a fender well and supports what if you make brackets that attach to the s10 frame that make the front end flip up. Then you can run a shaved fire wall and you can tie in the cowl to hopefully get better carb/ air filter fitment.

mounting a v belt over the crankpulley is going to be a chorehaving the engine as far back helps with the room in front of the engine for turbos radiator and stuff dont think you get out of driving from the back of the car unless you want to straddle the transmission (with could blow and send scrapnel up the family jewels)

I commented before, but maybe you didn't catch it. An engine like the one you got in the 67 would solve a lot of clearance problems. Other than spark plugs you really never need to access the back of one of those LT1 type motors, Super low intake system and front mounted distributor. Also you could do a T5 Borg Warner manual with a S10 tail shaft to move the shifter up for more room in the interior.
