I was in a bar I never been to in downtown LA.. I always had a heart for the browns.. I got the whole crowd to watch the browns game when they were playing the chargers.. as time ticked off the clock, the chargers had to rush their field goal unit into the field... the was getting louder and louder. People were screaming "miss it!!" They missed and the Browns win.. the bar went nuts and wanted a free victory beer.. no free beer but the people all bonded because of that special moment.. from the Steelers to Raiders fans and everything in between. We were happy.. high 5s everywhere

thank you hue for showing us how hard it is sometimes to be a head coach. Having someone completely unqualified at the head coaching position truly showed us the level of dedication and intelligence it takes to be at least an adequate NFL coach. Your two year plus stunt in Cleveland has really been a great example of what putting in any old bald guy off the street will do to your franchise. I was happy to witness this experiment take place every Sunday for two years as you nutted away every opportunity to win a football game. Thank you Hue and god Bless. Hue was just put in a situation almost nobody would look good in. Browns are doing great now because Baker is starting but I don't blame Hue for not wanting to start him. With the history of the Browns rushing quarterbacks and ruining them. Playing it better safe than sorry is understandable and when getting the job thinking "let's win now" and then having a GM who won't let you choose players but chooses the most statistically proven player and hordes picks is hard enough and isn't a win now strategy by a GM. Then the team being the youngest in the league for atleast 3-4 years at age 25 isn't surprising that a team of mostly rookies or 1st to 3rd year players with poor quarterback play did so BAD. God bless Hue with the recent lost of his mother and brother in 2 weeks. Truly sad to see somebody who tried so hard to be the best person and take the best route in life and get the worst hand.

I would agree somewhat, his play-calling forced a ton of these throws/fumbles from quarterbacks in the pocket as he loved calling read options and wouldn't allow his quarterbacks to audible. Beyond that he had multiple roster mistakes (Starting Kizer > Hogan in 2017 for example). These plays were in no way all of Jackson's fault, the Browns were and still are as of yet, a VERY unlucky team, but Hue called plays and ran formations that allowed for this possibility and since it was the Browns, he got punished hard for it. As an example, he pushed the QBs to not utilize quick throws in the pocket, making blitzes much more effective and forcing many more turnovers out of young QBs.

He was an awful coach. I'm not gonna pretend he wasn't. He made some bad playcalling decisions, made some weird roster moves, got rid of talented players, etc. He also was on the unluckiest team, in the city called the "Factory of Sadness". So can you blame the dude for not doing well?

Also got to place blame on the PLAYERS as well. Lots of dropped balls, lots of missed passes, plenty of fumbles, and the kicker(s) just sucked. QBs blew chunks. Blame the coach all you want (he gets the lions share), put got to point at the players as well. Oh, and do not forget, the FRONT OFFICE also must be blamed for numerous factors going wrong, as well.

People will defend Hue but the film... it just shows a complete lack of the level of preparation and practice NEEDED at the professional level. I'm not going to pretend that the 1-15 or 0-16 teams were talented. They really weren't. At all. They were rebuild teams, gutted from head to toe. But even teams of that level don't go 1-31 over a two year span. Maybe 6-26, 8-24, but NEVER 1-31. The special teams were consistently awful, the play calling was bad, frankly it was just a shitshow of total incompetence. Hue seems like a nice guy (when he's not throwing his players under the bus), but a good or even decent or even mediocre head coach he is not. He is just bad. Good coaches (like Belichick or McVay) elevate players beyond their actual skill levels, while bad ones like Hue hold them back. And never was that more clear than during this season.

Been watching some of your videos of the BROWNS since the 1999 season and am actually surprised to be reminded that this team had some potential and good players in the early-mid 2000s. Everyone focuses on the recent "nightmare" seasons. Also, cannot just point the finger at the head coach (though he does deserve the lions share of the blame). Got to also blame the piss-poor performance of the players regardless of position, and also point the finger at the front office, which seems to have abandoned this team for whatever reason. Been BROWNS fan since 1960s and now living in the Kansas city area - so have adopted the CHIEFS since 1988 (root for BOTH teams). Can remember when the CHIEFS went through their crap-faze and everyone was whining/crying about that. Just had to tell everyone to look at the BROWNS, it could be worse.
