I got mine last summer and put over 1k miles on it before putting it away for winter. What an awesome bike! Perfect for commuting or riding fire trails. Completely reliable. Gets noticed too. Everywhere I go people want to know about it.

Just registered my bike here in NV. I think I'm the first because they had to manually enter the info, it wasn't in the system yet. Took my first ride outside Vegas and the bike got a lot of attention at a couple scenic stops. Everyone wanted to know what it was and who sells it. They were very surprised by the amount of features for the price. Felt like I was a CSC salesman for a minute there, lol. So far I'm happy with this bike. Still trying to get through break in so I can do some real riding. Let ya know how that goes.

Couple questions. Whats the seat height? Top speed? What kinda mpg does it get? What kind of warranty and customer support? Are parts gonna be hard to find and or readily available? Looks like a slick bike with alot of great features. I'm looking forward to seen how it performs long term.

This will be the new KLR. (Low budget entry level adventure bike) KLR made somewhere in Thailand now, RX-3 made in a respected, highly automated factory in mainland China. But it's half the price of a KLR. Can anyone explain to me how the KLR is $3500 better than this? I don't think you can. The KLR is still based on it's 1988 frame and engine design. (Yeah major update in '96 and '08 and finally a minor tweak or two in '14) But not $3500 better than the Cyclone. The KLR still has a carb and barely makes 40 hp. Everyone knows that a modern 450 on an MX bike is light years ahead of the KLR thumper design. I have high hopes that this 250, coupled with a lightweight frame still has a lot of tweak-ability and upgrades in it's future. (One thought comes to mind since it's fuel injected, a Hyabusa's turbo mounted this this thing. Totally could be done!) What this bike represents is that it is going to put the other adventure manufacturers on their toes. $20k average price for a high end Adv Tourer? It better be $15k better... I mean really impressive. The Cyclone will only get better as time goes on. Other engine options will come, no doubt. I've owned two KLRs, '05 and '08. I currently own a Triumph Tiger. The Cyclone makes me turn my head. I will more than likely buy two of these. One to tinker on and one to commute around town in. This is what motorcycles are supposed to cost. Not more than a car. Simple A-to-B transportation. I used to love going on group adv rides with my KLR. Knowing that I got to the same locales and beautiful destinations paying only a fraction of what the other guys were on. And usually less mechanical problems too! The Cyclone will be an instant hit. Especially if you can get off your high horse about things made in China. American's sentiment about anything Japanese is not very far behind in our collective history. Yet, not we regard things made in Japan as high quality. Times have changed people... American and European companies have invested heavily in China's manufacturing infrastructure. China has grown because of our economic freedoms, and we are now seeing the benefits. So take advantage now, before China gets too big for it's britches and starts to demand higher prices. And major manufacturing moves to India/Pakistan/etc... The Cyclone is what we've been demanding at a price we can actually afford! (Hey CSC, send me two Cyclones, (Red and White) I my company develop some aftermarket parts for it! I can already see it's going to need lower footpeg relocation brackets and better saddle bag options. I'll advertise the hell out of this bike if it's half the bike I think it can be!)

, i did like your blog , in the U,K, your bike is called a honley RX3 , but it is the same bike , I 1st saw the RX3 in nov 2015 , the baby adventure bike was just the job im only 5`6`` and saddle height was the 1st thing in my mind , 2rd was if i should end up on the floor , could i pick her up , lets say santa was good to me , and i got one in orange , my 1st adventure was only 98 miles but , i had a lot of fun , as a Novice to this kind of biking i could not pick a better bike for the money , in the book which came with bike ,it said to get the best out of her , to run her in at under 8000 rpm , which gave me a top speed of about 65 -70 mph , i would like to let you know how she runs over 8000rpm after she is run in , it would be nice to see how the match`s up to other adventure bikes of the same size eg 250cc , in my eyes it is a lot better than the honda`s 125 varadero and the 250 was only out , in the uk for 3 year or so , and was very slow , in england it as been wet , rain`rain `rain , BUT ON THE UP SIDE , Green lane`s are dirty and fun , and the rx3 loves the dirty road , it`s the inevitable the bike is a crossover expect a smile , it`s that simple , as i ended my 2rd run out weather was not good , and i had a wonderful time , could i do it on a 125 varadero no way , and if i had used a bike of about 250 up , i thing the price would of stop me , ,i would love to see you test more 250cc adventure bikes as i like the way you did your blog , best wishes for 2016
