That card can even run at 1440p with high fps. Ftw series are factory overclocked. I have the non ti version and its still decent

@@a2db663 nvidia actually didn't allow factory overclocks on the 1070 ti. It does come very close to 1080 overclocked though

@@a2db663 If you dont bother down some settings you can even manage to get 4k 50~60 fps with a good oc on 1070ti

I have one and game at 1440p. The great thing about that resolution is you can max out textures and run a mix of med to high settings for everything else and your games still look amazing with high fps.

Turn shadows down to medium on your games and you will get another 10 to 15 fps with little loss in visual quality.

The 5700XT $399 is $50 less than 1070 Ti retail release btw. Just looking at these numbers, the 5700 XT performing 30/40% on average over 1070 Ti.

Why is everybody talking about 1080P with card? I play only 1440P/Ultra with this card and it's great. Sometimes I go 4K in older games.

It's not really meant to be a 1080p card IMO,I mean of course you can play at that resolution but it really has that edge at 1440p (IDK compared to the 5700XT)

If you can afford it, you can easily sell your 1070ti for around $250-300 USD (depending on area) and grab a 5700xt ($430) for the difference. I need it for Freesync so it's worth it for me

if that 1070ti is not oced then the difference between those two cards(if you oc the 1070ti) is 10-15 fps for 1080p? i was about to get 5700xt but it seems that ill have to wait a little longer.

At this point its all academic as in my opinion nobody in the first of the year should be buying a card period.There is too much close ahead that will be announced or released very soon.

Play in 2029 with my 1070 Ti in 1920x1080 and i am happy with that card . For me upgrade next year RNDA 3 i dont think Nvida card is the next . Because the prices form Nvida GPU specialy 2000 series very shitty . My last two GPU was 670 GTX AMP and 1070 TI . RTX cards are useless in my eyes , that 50 games use RTX not enough when we talk about 500 Games use RTX than i can think about to buy a Raytracing card and when Nvida dont chance the over price Raytracing card ok , AMD i like my old Atlon and if you fix your driver issues , i really want a RNDA 3 GPU . Middel of 2021 is my Next GPU i play now 1080 P and for me 60 FPS is good enough , i am not a shoother player that think skill is so importent and you need the best FPS in that games ... for me meh i need nothing of that stuff . Most of time i play RPGS and MMOS so 60 FPS is good enough .

Yes a 1070 Ti is still an amazing GPU, but the 5700 XT is better in terms of price to performance and overall high resolution capabilities.
