What psu did you use?
@keylime610 ай бұрын
@@englishboy993 I made the mistake of only getting 500W psu, I thought I might as well save some money but the problem is I couldn't upgrade any components without also upgrading the psu. Thankfully my friend had a 750W psu and was willing to trade psu's with me since he never planned on upgrading his PC. I would recommend you get at least 600W psu, preferably 650W and make sure to check the psu cultists list to make sure it is at least a tier C, you don't want to get a faulty psu or it could destroy it's self and the rest of your components. One more thing, while the 5600 works fine with the rx 6600, I am getting bottlenecked quite a bit by the gpu, so if you can afford it, upgrading to a 6650XT or 6700XT could really get you a lot more frames. Hope this helps
@ajax14728 ай бұрын
@@keylime6what does that mean? So rx 6600 isn't good with 5 5600? I'm thinking about getting that, bottleneck means lagging in this context?
@keylime68 ай бұрын
@@ajax1472 It works fine, especially for more cpu intensive games like Fortnite, Minecraft, etc. if you play detailed single player games though, the gpu might lag behind a bit. My recommendation would be that if you mostly play esports games or Minecraft, it’s perfect. If you play more gpu intense games, you should upgrade the gpu. If you want brand new, you could get an Rx 6650XT, or Rx 7600, and if you want to buy used, you might be able to find some good deals on a 6700XT. Oh yeah, and make sure to get at least a 650W power supply

Do not cheap out on your PSU and Wattage and that's it. If it's a 500W from an actual reliable vendor then it's PROBABLY ok but you shouldn't cheap out on your PSU at all, there is a reason they say 650W is suggested. Less pressure on your PSU the better.

OK - I built a B450 Tomohawk Max II 5600X 32GB DDR4... DO NOT enable any of the on board "lets get a great cpu" stuff.... It killed my system. Go slowly, learn carefully. Manually tune each bit - the on board presets roast your CPU and GPU. Switch them off and manually, incrementally upgrade. I love MSI - Used them for years. But the B450 - as great as it is.... the Bios sucks. At least at power application level. Just dont apply anything at Bios level and you should be fine.
