Do take note that radeon 7000 series gpus monitor overall wattage while the 6000 series monitor chip wattage. Meaning the rx 6600 wattage consumption should be around 120-130w

For someone who games at 1080p with fsr (mostly for extra sharpness and visibility) I always set my 6600 to -6% power limit and never get a temperature above 65'c, also with 1080p/fsr it's more than enough for 60fps in 2023.

RDNA 3 reports power usage differently, real world the 7600 uses slightly less power than a 6650XT (6000 series under reports power usage by not including VRAM etc, 7000 series are more accurate figures).

RX 7600 is actually an overclocked version of RX 6600. RX 7600 uses an improved version of RT found in RDNA 3, but the rest of the silicon is still based on RDNA 2.

Not quite true. Rx 7600 is an overclocked rdna3 version of rx 6650xt - both have identical specs, rx 7600 has a slightly higher core and memory frequency, which gives it a minor performance uplift. Rx 6600xt has noticeably lower clock speeds, and rx 6600 non xt has even lower clocks and fewer CUs.

I think at this level it doesn't matter as RT is very weak at the bottom of the stack. Even if you use FSR/DLSS, you'd be using 720 or 480p to upscale the game which would look stupidly horrendous. It's the same for the NV equivalent cards. People who insist that it's okay to use RT at this level are either blind or are used to playing in 720p or below. Just my 2 cents. EDIT: Hopefully in 4-5 years we can get better rasterization performance from the bottom of the stack while also having better RT cores. Now that would be interesting to see. Not holding my breath as GPU advancement seems to suck this round.

RT is so unnecessary tbh, it's just reflections on the ground or a mirror, etc. Yes, it's beautiful, but if that costs you 40fps or more which is what actually happening, is a waste of money.

@@Krooks522 if you like playing at 30 fps. If your putting RT at its lowest setting then your just getting shadows with RT and losing 50% performance. If it's real RT with reflections, then 30 fps gaming, which isn't okay in my book.
