I'm using 550w cuz it's my old psu and it's still 4 month of use & i actually doesn't plan to buy 6700 xt at that time but i got a great deal at 260$ just a couple weeks ago. It runs just fine but the psu sound a little bit loud. U better buy 600+watt or 650w like AMD recommendation (I don't want to change my psu cuz it's not old enough 😁⚡⚡💥)

Its an old comment but I hope I am in time. Intel and NVIDIA for video editing no doubt. Intel has Quick Sync and NVIDIA has cuda cores. both almost a must have for quality and time savings in video editing.

If some of these games are pushing the 5700X 8 core past 50% utilization that means they are using all of the 8 cores and a good bit of the 8 threads. Usage on a 6 core would be in the 70%-80% range unless its an X3D part. Thats to high going forward, get the 8 core, at least match console spec.

Well idk shearch vids for the i5 and rtx 3060 ti combo and compare that vid with this vid but look at the same games and with the same rez/quality..One thing i can tell u..Rx 6700xt and R7 5700x (aka this combo from vid) goona give u almost 0 bottleneck..What does that mean?..Well both GPU and CPU are a perfect mach and u won't lose any of the performance in gaming/daily tasks..In many OTHER CASES one part is more powerful than the other one so that mean u lose performace cuz one of them (GPU or CPU) are limiting himself..I myself gonna buy this combo right here cuz is at a good price, gives the best performance, i don't lose any performance and will keep me a good 4-6y with games rn at ulta settings but in future at medium-high or just high settings..

I think the above combo is better... Currently going through the same, and the above combo is 30% cheaper than the i5 and 3060. I mean just look at the motherboard prices for each processor... next think of ram and updates etc. The bigger picture should be clearer.

What is wrong with people buying nvidia and intel over amd? You get less performance for a higher cost. Rx 6700xt and rx 6700 cheaper and better performing than the 3060ti. For someone building custom builds I completely stopped using nvidia and using intel very limited. Since the rx 5000 series has been out, the amd gpu's have surpassed nvidia and still making the gap bigger by having better performance for the prices. Also amd driver updates bring huge performance boosts from time to time while with nvidia's driver updates you just pray your fps don't drop 90% until next driver update with the current update.

i have the same setup r7 5700x + rx6700xt and Im using ang 165hz 24' 1080p monitor so far the monitor does the job. and one advantage of using it in 1080p rather 1440p is getting higher fps.. though i limit my gpu fps to +2 on the max refresh rate of the monitor to reduce input latency

thats a bit overkill for fortnite and minecraft. you could save easily 200 dollars and still get great performance with those titles. since you are going with amd i would recommend a ryzen 5 5500 paired with a rx6600xt card

This is my exact setup. with 32 gb of RAM Here clearly the bottleneck is the GPU, you could try a 6800 XT or even a 6900 with no problem, but I don't need anymore.

I'm currently building this kinda system for a customer, testing have shown that the GPU bottleneck never exceeded 5% and in high CPU demanding games the CPU was the slight bottleneck. In my opinion this is a great combo, it is best suited for 1440p gaming ... that's where this combo shines.

there are different brands that manufacture the 6700xt mine is from asrock which needs a minimum of 650 watts but other brands such as powercolor are the same gpu but dont draw as much power.
