I built a PC couple of weeks ago and i have the same combo. Have only played CS2 and Last of us so far and I'm very pleased and impressed with the new tech. My last PC was 7 years ago, so I'm used to watching youtubers play all the games that i can't play. Last of us especially has been stunning and I'm lost for words most of the time watching the details and the high graphics. Have a few more games i want to check out, but so far I'm happy and relieved that i have made the right purchase.

Yeah it is indeed a great combo. I'm coming from an gtx 1080 ti and even though it was a great card back in the day, it is pretty old and you can notice the age of it (for example Alan wake 2 ran at about 18 fps average lol). Its good to know that with that combo you can run pretty much every game under the sun on max/high graphics without worrying about performance and just enjoying the game. Glad you made the right choice!

i'm thinking to change my monitor 24" 1080p for the 27" 1440p... but it seems to be quit low fps in some games.i think wukong will be like 50-80, which is bad. IT will be better if i stay with a 24"? i mean, i do not want to change my hardware for at least 2 years. same setup from video (gpu+cpu)

You think or are you sure that wukong is 50-80 fps?? I’m not all that well versed in the world of pc but if you have same combo (gpu+cpu) then it should be a minor difference in fps between what you get and what is shown in the video, and this small difference would be related to either settings or other minor stuff like ram and such, again I am not that well versed in pc world so all I said could be wrong and you should take it with a grain of salt, and if someone who does know more see that I am wrong please correct me!!

what are your idle temps? im roaming in the 50-60 degrees celsius and im not sure that ok. i reapplied thermal paste a bunch if times and nothing changes. my cooler is a single fan noctua nh-u9s

That's your problem, using a single air fan cooler isn't enough for these high end specs, you need something better like a water cooler, there's a bunch that's good with good prices.

The 7800x3D is the fastest gaming cpu and the 3D cache is basically like a insulator on the cpu get a arctic 360mm aio selling rn for 76.99 GBP and the best cooler and has RGB and non rgb beats out expensive brands

It definitely is overkill for Dota 2 or any game like that such as league of legends, smite, apex, cs2 etc. But if you wish to play more competitively it's good since there is basically 0 framedrop and constant fps

@Lewis-tz5pu yeah for sure, it might even be a bit of an overkill for 1080p, but it should be smooth and no bottleneck whatsoever.

@Allucards yeah, for sure 27 inch 1440p will be a lot nicer. The rx 7800 xt is constantly getting updates and fps is getting better. Also, all these games are played on literally max settings, if you change some settings down to high from ultra, or to medium, fps increases by a ton and there isn't much difference in the visuals. 1440p is definitely worth the upgrade and I wouldn't worry about performance for now, or the next 2-3 years.

Yes, you need to add a custom launch option: "-allow_third_party_software" and after that it will work

@MikeysGL it's the msi afterburner, that's why it's not working, because cs2 is not letting the third party software access the game

either its not 1440p or youre not maxing out all of the settings, you can check other videos too, the FPS I get is normal if not even a bit better

Your fps are capped in apex mate you can easily get 200+ fps

Yeah that one is a weird one since I haven't capped it in the in-game settings or in the AMD software so yeah not sure what is going on with apex

this cpu is overkill for this setup dont get me wrong its a badass pc but if it was me i would of spend about 200 on a cpu either 14400 or 7600 and spend 700 on a graphics card instead

Yeah, it kind of is overkill but its more future proof and if I would want to upgrade the GPU in like 2-3 years, the CPU will hopefully hold up pretty well.

Remember Valve DM servers are always laggy, so the test for Cs2 is probably wrong, fps vise, still thats really good fps

Yeah it was capped, I seem to have capped it in steam at one point and forgot about it, I do get a lot more if uncapped
