This video was a God sent. I'm currently in the process and building a PC and keep going back and forth between to processors. One been a 7600. And although gaming is not the priority. I was wondering if it would be enough. Or drop the extra 100+ on a R7 instead. And safe me the hasle of worrying about needing to upgrade CPU sooner rather than later. But base on the CPU utilization of current games. Safe to assume it will work well for at least 4 years or so. By the time it becomes a concern I'll want to upgrade CPU anyway most likely. So far it's saving me some money. Gotta check how well is doing in emulation

@@DennisRLuna It went great! I also went with a slight overclock/undervolt of the 7800XT based on videos on this channel. My TimeSpy scores are better than 86% of other users. I’m running most games at 1440p/max settings and getting more than 90fps.

no the sweet combo will be a Ryzen 7700x or 7800x/3d and the Rx7800xt Belive me or not but even a Ryzen 5800x is right now better then a Ryzen 7600x because the price is so cheap of the ryzen 5800x that it is crazy and i mean all around with Motherboard and Ram. On the other side the Ryzen 7600x is the better option if you want to upgrade in the future to a better CPU like Ryzen 7700/7800 or even a Ryzen 8000 series. If you invest a lil bit more in a Ryzen 7600x with your budged you get better rewarded in the future but at the end nobody know what will happen and how long am5 will do.

Yes, i am happy with my combo.I did a big jump. I had a 2700X and a GTX 1060 6GB. Your combo is not that far off of mine as what i have now.. Thank you for the video 🤍. The RX 7800XT is just an amazing value in my opinion. Getting 100 fps and more at 1440p ultra settings in most of these modern games is just absurd to be honest! The onlt downside maybe is that ray tracing when enabled takes almost 50% of the performance.

Really like this moderate CPU, upper mid to top tier GPU demos. I see too many people wanting to throw big money at big CPUs and drop the cost of the GPU rather than get a moderately priced CPU and pair with a good GPU cause the GPUs in games do most of the work. I run a 7600 not X and a 6900 XT and get comparable FPS in Cyberpunk and Starfield without ray tracing.

This is running the enermax cooler as shown in the pc specifications. Also, its quite cold inside tbe house haha. Your temps are normal for your cooler and ambient temp

What is your take on how i can upgrade my am4 pc? B450 mobo, 16gb ddr4, 550w psu. I dont mind not running 165hz. Freesync range starts at 48hz. Tested most of these games on my OC'd 6800XT and usually below 60 FPS my card performed 5 FPS less, between 60-100 FPS mine was usually 10 FPS slower and above 100 FPS mine was usually 15-20 FPS behind. So no reason to upgrade to the 7800XT for me, especially since mine's only a year old. Either way, both of these cards perform exceptionally well at 1440p today. I hope FSR3 and FG will come in more games in the future and some from this year will get it too, that will definitely increase the longevity of these cards.

I have a Ryzen 5 5600G and 1660 Super and it's super annoying that settings have to be pared back somewhat even at 1080p on Rocket League to hit 240fps (that's normal, right?). I really want to hit 240fps at 1440p at basically high settings on Rocket League with my CPU...would this GPU be overkill or should I shoot for something else?

@@AncientGameplays Not so fast. My 5800X is getting the exact same numbers as your 7600X or within margin of error with the 7800XT. I'm kind of baffled by this. It also now leaves me with absolutely no excuse to "upgrade" to AM5. I don't have an argument to spend the money now. My specs: R7 5800X, Asrock Phathom Gaming 7800XT. Asus X570E Strix mobo, Trident-Z Royal 3200MHz CL-16, NVME drive. I would also think your higher RAM would also play a part in greater fps. Could it be the latest drivers compared to when you did the testing? I'm thinking nearly all these games must be GPU bound and CPU is not a factor? Games I ran to compare to you testing the 7600X were: Plague Tale, Immortals, Remnant 2, CP2077, Starfield, DI2, Metro, Witcher. Could PBO be coming into play? Thoughts?

You should be okayish I guess, but you'll be cpu bottlenecked at 1080P, this card is better than the 3080 in all scenarios

great video for sure as usual, ive been trying top decide between the rx 7800xt, 7900 xt and the 7900xtx since amd is currently the better value to performance option compared to nvidea, ive been thinking more and more of the 7900 xt as my pick tho because its right in between, so its not too little performance and not too much for 1440p at 240hz in most games, so a video benchmarking the rx 7900 xt at 1440p would be incredible fr because its still really hard to find any videos for it, especially with the 13600k which is my cpu of choice for my next build

@@swanie_boi346 7700XT. Got a bundle at MicroCenter. I think the 13600 is a great option also. I don't think either is a bad option, necessarily other than chipset life as AM5 is supported until 2025 and you could drop in a new CPU, but honestly, that processor will easily last you a while. As for SAM, it's like a 5% average increase, maybe less. I wouldn't really worry about it.

A segunda, era acerca dos varios frametime spikes que aparecem em alguns benchmarks do video, eles se sao normais? ou sao algo de preocupante, tipo ma optimização, etc. E por fim, estou so curioso de saber pq em alguns os 1%lows sao tão baixos? E é isso, fica bem💪💪💪

Viva, obrigado por veres. A 6800xt é usualamente igual em alguns jogos e mais lenta em outros. O teu cpu e ram no entanto em alguns jogos simplesmente não vão dar mais fps, nem mesmo a 1440P, é gargalo. Em relação aos 1% lows não vejo nada se possa ser considerado "baixo". Há variações de cenarios, pontos dos jogos, etc. Abraço

Current gen isn't really that bad it you just leave RT off. With RT, of course it is rough. Watch his videos on it. Even 6700XT was playable. That being said, waiting for an NVidia refresh would be a good idea. New cards are due 2025, so it's a long wait.
