Personally im perfectly happy/content with the 7800xt 4k performance. Every multiplayer im interested in is getting 100fps at 4k high/medium settings, single player games my minimum requirement is 40fps and im getting that at high settings. Im not a fan of upscalers, but if i was then 60+ fps is more than in reach. Also with future driver updates, the 7800xt is the perfect card if you dont want to break the bank for the next 5 yrs.

@@Sam-xg2jn I understand you, but for me once I experienced 4k,, it is now very difficult for me to go down to 1440p, and 1080p is out of the question. The lowest I'll possibly go is 1728p high settings. I believe a lot more gamers should try out 1728p/1800p, because you get to experience something a little bit more sharper than 1440p. Modern single player games tend to be more about the visual fidelity and are rather more slower pace, so the highest resolution is more important to me than FPS. Multiplayers at 4k I'm pretty much getting that 144 FPS. It's a great card.

FSR at 4K is actually really good. It's noticeably better than using it at 1440 and 1440 UW in my experience. I can hardly tell im using it at all tbh. I'm on a 7900xt and play on both 4k 120hz and 1440 UW 165 hz.

In November I switched from the 6750 xt to the 7900 xt bought for 800 euros, then I sold the 6750 xt for 300 euros. I play practically everything in 4k blocking at 60 fps and for those few heavy games I either touch the settings or activate fsr in quality. Fantastic card

At my local microcenter, cheapest by chipset: 7800 XT - $499 7900 XT - $749 7900 XTX - $999 Using Toms Hardware GPU hierarchy, the fps per $ for these cards at 1440p Ultra goes: 7800 XT - $4.79 per fps (104.0 avg fps) 7900 XT - $6.02 per fps (124.3 avg fps) 7900 XTX - $7.47 per fps (133.7 avg fps) Conclusions: 7900 XT is 14.2% faster on average compared to 7800 XT according to Toms hardware but costs 33% more ($499 vs $749). 7900 XTX cost is double the 7800 XT ($499 vs $999) yet only yields 22.2% more fps at 1440p Ultra. Now, at 4K ultra, its a 28.4% performance uplift according to Toms hardware but still imo, only worth it if you got money like that😂

With the Sapphire 7900 XT, I had a hard time finding the sweet spot between all the parameters; undervolt, overclock and fan speed. At the end, I concluded that it was not worth it to overclock this GPU unless you like high temp and fan noise (> 2000 RPM). The high end models of the 7900 XT (like the Nitro+) can probably do better. At the end, I made a custom fan curve and limited the card to 300W so the fan would stay quiet and still have low temps.

The frame generator mod and FSR 3 solve the ray-tracing issues for the 7800XT in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p, with ultra settings and ultra rays without path tracing. I'm getting FPS ranging from 70 to 120 fps. I'm very happy about this :)

My RX7800XT NITRO does only 100fps in COD WARFARE2 on ULTRA 1440P, if i go LOW settings it goes 120fps, I have R5 3600X, 48GB RAM, X507 Asus Prime-p. 850w be quiet PSU. CPU and GPU both work around 60-70% in this game. Is the CPU bottelneck. I also have SAM and ancinet gamplays tunning of RX 7800XT custom engaged. What could it be, only cpu or something else?

Fabio, I checked your video 7900xt in 40 games (with 7700x). So, I have 3 games that you mentioned in that video - AC Valhalla, Control, RDR2. The difference between your 7700x & 7900xt and mine 5600x & 7900xt: Valhalla +10-12 fps; Control precisedly stable +15 fps; RDR2 +12-15 fps (its not stable). You told that 7700x is much more faster than 5600x & DDR4, more than 20 fps. But in same scenes you have only ~15 fps more.

Hey! I’ve been wondering about how benchmarking is done and why is it so different. So I can only speak about Forza Horizon 5 in this case as that’s the only game I tested with my 7900XT so far, but with extreme quality 1440p I get a 132FPS average, and considering you got 138 on Ultra which is below it that seems reasonable. But I check Hardware Unboxed’s video, and on Extreme settings 1440P he got like 165-170 FPS- like how does he get that kind of performance boost? Doesn’t say he has FSR enabled or anything. I have a 5800X, I don’t think it bottlenecks it at 1440P that much. Ty for your answer

Little things like having TAA or MSAA will change performance, even the 7900XT will change performance a bit. Also, make sure his results aren't old because the game got updated and now uses RT in real gameplay

You 6800 uses 33w on core, then it uses more power for the vram and so on. The 7000 series card show the full board power draw. My 7900xt was using arouns 50w watching youtube, but depends on many factor such as monitor res, hz, video res as well

Soo ive jump graphics cards this year. Ive been buying and selling with a small profit this year, went from a 6700 nitro to a 6950xt nitro to a 7900xt pulse to a 7900xtx pulse. The cards have been bought from stores such as the 6950xt as a returned card for 600 euro, the 7900xt i picked up at 850 euro while selling my 6950 xt at 750 euro, then i managed to buy a 7900xtx at 900 euro. Yet to sell my 7900xt but i hop i get 800 euro for it.

6900xt runs games very well still. In assassins creed mirage 1440p ultra high adaptive quality off native I am getting 121 average and max 193. I have it overclocked pretty heavy though with sam on too and just a 5800x3d. That is using the built in benchmark too with latest patch.

I went with the most I could afford on the gpu and the 7600x gets me started on am5 so in the future I can upgrade if I need more cores. What model 7800XT are you using? I had issues with the Sapphire Reference card crashing and Asus Tuf Gaming was having issues with Hardware Acceleration . I’ve tried everything to remedy the issues. Im looking at getting the Gigabyte model to try that out.

There's a few games that you can max out your monitors refresh....or if you play some older single player games....there are still tons of good ones out there. You can also go to medium quality AND fsr which should bump the fps up pretty high.

I have owned I think 3 7900xtx and 4 or five 6900xt/6950xt and an 3080/ti and an 4090 and the card I have settled with perf wise is an 6900xt with 3 power plugs as it was 500euro inc VAT. even cheaper than 4060ti and 7800xt here in sweden and I dont reall need more perf as I only pley race sims and wz2/bf/cs where the cpu is more important at lower res/settings. but it is a bit crazy to think that a four year old gpu like the 6900xt is at 500€ or even more in most stores, but sure first time I got an 6900xt it was 1500€, but still, gpu prices are insane. I paid 500euro for my 8800gtx and it was high end gpu for a long time and after two years u could get an 150€ gpu(vpu as ati/amd called it back then) hd 4850 at the same perf. now cheapest gpu 4 years later it either the same card or 7800xt for a bit more... crazy and so wrong if u think about it.

Opa mano, boa noite. Adqueri uma 7900xt phantaom da asrock semana passada, e esta tudo otimo com ela, mas estou pensativo em trocar por uma 7900xtx saphire pulse. Seria 900 reais de diferença, qual sua opiniao a respeito? Acha que uma 7900xtx nitro+ tem mt diferença do modelo pulse? O upgrade para ela seria 1700 a mais. Desde ja agradeço, abraços

Viva, a nitro é bem melhor sim (e mais bonita), tem dual bios, fans fáceis de trocar, etc. 900 reais ainda é um pouco, mas a xtx é alguma coisa melhor a 4k

i7 7800x soon to be 7980xe running a 7900xtx Most games are CPU limited for me now. I will wait for a long time until I upgrade my cpu I think. Certain games aren't cpu bottlenecked... In my case, yeah I wont have to worry about gpu for a while. But even an i3 with a 3050 is good enough for regular mulitplayer games.

Watching this, since I'm preparing to upgrade from my 6700 XT ($340 new) and pass it down to family. I want a 7900 XT, but $700 is still a hefty price tag. If I somehow found a 7900 GRE for around that price I'd pounce, but unicorns aren't real. I think I'll end up with a 7800 XT ($480 right now), and I'm only running 1440p.

Proud 7900xt sapphire pulse owner here, if you undervolt it to 1050 and memory to 2740 the card boosts to 2900mhz +on its own then youre gaming on xtx stock levels its bonkers just for 800 euros. Very amusing!

Yep just waiting for ROCm on windows and pytorch support to mature, I feel like whenever I finally upgrade it'll backfire on me. If I buy an overpriced nvidia gpu it'll be supported on AMD and be very good. Or If I buy an AMD gpu it'll be like another year or two till things start happening.

@@BKHD605 Feel the same but as I've never been able to train DP models on my RX 6800 (on windows) since years now, i do not believe that ROCm on windows will make a lot of progress before at least 2 years... The best option we have now is an used RTX 3090...

from the benchmarks it is clear that the 7900xt is the best choice because in most games it only performs 10 to a maximum of 20 fps less than the 7900xtx but it costs 150,200 euros less

I building my new pc and I've a 2000€ budget, I'm in France and prices are a bit higher. My goal is too play at 240hz in 1080p in fps games. Which one should I choose between the Rx 7800xt, the 7900xt and the xtx ? The 7800xt doesn't always reach the 240 fps in high quality, and the 7900xtx is only 150€ more than the xt. . As an 7900 xt owner I say keep your card and just game. It was replaced by a 3070 ti and honestly I would’ve kept the old card. Even 4k on mid tier cards at medium settings with some upscaling adjustments will still look better than my ps5. For anyone considering buying, wait until after Christmas and you’ll see tons of higher end cards used or open box.

Pro tip: Become a Best Buy Totaltech member. Buy a card and within 2 months a better card comes out for the same price or even better as an open box then just continue to upgrade for free until the end of time. There is no limit. At all.

It's fine, the reccomended PSU ratings are based around the assumption people will be running 300w CPUs such as the 13900k.

im running 5800x3d and 7800xt...perfect for what I play. I needed the 5800x3d for the rts games(cache performance). My 5600x was not enough even for my 7800xt. If the future is grim for my 7800xt, then Ill wait for the next gen .

and 2nd question is about undervolting (i made a research on internet) and behind i found someone who told me to undervolt my gpu by finding the amount of mV tuning my gpu to auto undervolt and auto oc it to find the highest mhz, and i can tune my gpu to have the max amount of mhz with minimum mV. Could be real ?

i have a radeon vii with i7 8700k i play on 1440p would you upgrade to the 7900xtx if you had the same specs i sometimes have issues with the radeon vii when it comes to vr and stutters that only get fixed after a pc restart once in a while..im really afraid to have a buyer remorse the radeon vii was my first high end gpu and im afraid that the new one i will get wont be much better or only slighlty better
