Me too it’s been 13 years since my wonderful husband of 35 years died suddenly from a 10 foot drop and fell on his head , brain stem spinal cord contusion. Gosh he was such a great guy.. treated me like a queen. I have not had 1 date… zip zilch. Have put a profile in a couple times , got bites but I’m particular… picky but it’s hard after being married for all those years. No one was measuring up… plus no matter what age, there HAS to be a little spark. That was the end of that. Whatever happens happens. Patty’s story here is encouraging !! Yes I agree~~ I am ONLY interested in a fella that like me has lost his wife~~ a surviving widow/ widower. Don’t want anyone that’s been married & divorced 3 times let’s say no way!!!!

I fell 6 feet and broke my femur bone in my right thigh. I had to have 2 operations. I am still having major problems but Jesus helps me every day

Patti, I am 72 and have been married 12 years and met my husband through Our Time. It was a dating site for older adults, just like your site. I found out Harry lived in the next town over, just 20 minutes away, I kept thinking he looks so familiar but I can't place him. After talking for awhile he sent me a picture of him when he was in Vietnam in the Navy. Bingo! I had worked for him 30 years earlier in another We when we were each married to other people. I had divorced and he was a widow. We have been happily married ever since. We each have 3 grown children.

Happy Anniversary! What a beautiful picture! Great story. I was happily single and in my 40's ( I had my share of proposals, but never accepted any ) when I met my future husband in a "chat room" for the state in which we lived. We chatted too. He asked me out once. I said I was not ready for that. After a while, I asked him if he would like to go out with a group of my friends...one of whom was a nun. He took me right up on the offer. We first met at a coffee shop then went on with the group. We had our 24th anniversary last Feb. I cannot wait to hear your part 2. Thank you for sharing.

Happy 13th Anniversary.💕 Imagine if you had tapped on the Suburban's window to wake up "fake-Jim" - hahaha! I met my husband when I went for a job intervew. I was removing my winter boots and tipped over onto my knees when he rushed into the office and hit my behind with the door. He asked me if I did that everytime a handsome man walked in!! I got the job and steered clear of him for a whole year. (He worked for my boss' boss.) LOL!!
