Yeah he's got Neil's sound down when he wants it. There's another song "Everybody Knows" that really sounds like Neil. I think its cool because he doesn't base his whole electric sound from Young's tone, just a sprinkle here and there. I like it but then I like NY too.

Fame wise, I am quite sure Ryan is where he wants to be. He was always very concerned about being changed by the industry. I think he's held onto the shit that made him Ryan, surviving the fame machine pretty well, and flying out of the eye of direct and persistent public scrutiny is one reason why.
