Specifically: Neil Casals, lead guitar and second singer, Cardinals. Casals is a superb sideman in every way. See also, just RA and Casals, acoustic set KZbin in County Cork, Ireland. Casals is now kicking it with the Chris Robinson Band. Neil Casals = Respect.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I played it for my kids last night. My 6-year-old son strapped on a "Rock Band" electric guitar and played along. I wish Ryan would release a live recording from this tour. I was lucky enough to see him live in 2014 - and it was the best show I've ever seen him play. Band is tight. He sounds great. it's funny that he's so worried about how weird his voice sounds, but it sounds as good as ever. Slightly softer tone maybe, but it makes it a bit extra special. Singers always sense the smallest difference in their voice and think it's way obvious.

Thanks Jorge, I happened onto this vid just exploring Ryan Adams & Whiskeytown because one of their songs really caught my ear a short while back. This is one of the best performances I've heard in a long time. I grew up on 60's &70's Rock, this reminds me of so many great bands of that era, but it's new and very refreshing to me. I guess I got some more exploring to do. Dirty Rain Blows me away! I'll probably listen to this performance 3 times in the next 2 days, as well. :)

For me Ryan peaked here. He’d completely mastered his craft by this point. This is when I discovered him and it was one of the best points of my life. Seen him a handful of times since and that very first time with this band ‘The Shining’ was hands down the best. Unbelievable dynamics.

The acoustics in the venue and the filming on this, superb. The only thing to rival this for me was seeing him perform solo, acoustic, at the Disney Center in downtown L.A. Disney Center is where the L.A. Philharmonic orchestra performs. Does anyone have/know of any quality video of that L.A.
