I grew up listening to "classic" country...Cash, Robbins, Patsy..all of it. My parents were at lest 10 years older than my classmates parents. I'm not too old (less than 50) to say...I find much of his music feels to me a bridge between old and new. too much country today is pop. I hope he does well.

I hope that he becomes just as recognizable to the general public as all of the big singers, he certainly deserves it!

All I can say is that great music has been coming out of Texas, Artist like Ryan Bingham, Justin Townes Earle, Gray Clark Jr,, Ruthie Foster and yes the Black Angels. This is what Heartland music is all about.

Such lyrics... ❤️❤️❤️ People they tell me As they look upon my skin and bones You're ragged and you're dirty Hardly worth your weight in gold For all of your suffering No one gives a good goddamn It's all about the money, son We doubt you understand Yodelay-ho They say your diamond is too rough Yodelay-ho I'd never trade it for their love Sometimes at night I look upon the stars above They never shine as bright As my diamond in the rough People they tell me Just to give up and go on home But to have no home to go to Is something they'll never know Yodelay-ho They say your diamond is too rough Yodelay-ho I'd never trade it for their love Yodelay-ho They say your diamond is too rough Yodelay-ho I'd never trade it for their love Sometimes I feel Like I ain't getting nowhere I'm walking down this road With a burden I can't bear I never let this world Get too heavy on my shoulders 'Cause my diamond always will Pull the weight that I'm under Yodelay-ho They say your diamond is too rough Yodelay-ho I'd never trade it for their love Yodelay-ho They say your diamond is too rough Yodelay-ho I'd never trade it for their love

Sure. Well then podnah, if all you country folk are off the grid, how do you watch your Trump videos and speeches? No really, no one lives off the grid. Except hermits. This lie about how country people are better off is ridiculous. 20 of top 25 worst states to live in are rural red states. But sure, be free y’all.
