Alabama turned the ball over which gave away a couple of possessions , other than that both defenses are terrible. Alabama could not stop LSU and in the second half when Alabama did not turn the balk over LSU could not stop Alabama to save their life, the difference was the turnovers gave LSU to big a lead. If Alabama doesn't turn it over I believe Alabama would have won this going away.

8 team playoff. 5 conference champs and 3 at large bids do away with divisions in conferences and play a round robin schedule where the previous conference champ plays the hardest conference schedule and 2nd place plays 2nd hardest and then on and could keep rivalry games also. And top 2 teams in conference play at the end if regular season in the conference championship. And the first round of the playoff are home games for top four and then it goes to how it is now for top 4.

The problems with round robins is first of all, you don't really know who the best conference is gonna be at the start of the year, second, you'd have somebody like Oregon traveling all the way to Florida and Louisiana every other week and you can't do that

@@MultiKool13 the round robin is in conference play only. 1st place team from the year before has the hardest conference schedule on papper and 2nd place has second hardest and so on. its the only true way i see to make a conference championships be a automatic bid because with divisions u can have a 12-0 team lose to a 8-4 and you have a 11-1 team thats just setting their because they lost 1 division game and should really be playing the 12-0 team i dont think the 8-4 team should have a automatic qualifier. It would kinda be like if the big 12 added 2 teams but kept their conference championship format where the best two teams play.
