as a canadian...ive met over 2 dozen if not more people just like ryan gosling. the sarcastic, dry, serious but funny comedic timing is a very canadian gesture. sometimes if theres a serious moment like an announcement of someone passing...youre left confused if people whos character is like ryans...you cant tell if theyre serious or being inappropriately funny. its a mix of a born talent and background upbringing in canada.
