With regards to Alien: Romulus and the Ian Holm character's look: In the theatrical release they in fact Deepfaked the puppet/animatronic, which gave them the fidelity, accuracy and realism that is typical for the technology (when done right) with relative ease compared to traditional CGI (and budget-friendly, as well), but in this case it failed first and foremost because the puppet had very limited articulation of the mouth, resulting in an uncanny valley Deepfake that looked very accurate but moved and expressed quite poorly - the mouth being one of the hardest things to get right in normal CGI and notoriously even more so with Deepfaking. The Corridor guys addressed it pretty well in one of their react videos.

I feel like as of right now, it's easier to be more hyped for Superman cause we've seen some things from it. I feel like Doomsday has the potential to be so epic that a new DCU is meh. I mean Marvel is getting closer & closer to the X-Men. They appear to be just jumping right into the more interesting Fantastic 4 stuff. So Doomsday is going to be like the 1st time that Marvel basically has all of their toys in the sandbox together. And absolutely Secret Wars is going to be EVEN MORE EPIC!!! That's supposed to be when Dr. Strange enters the storyline and we could be getting EVERYONE!!! Chris Evans, Scarlett, very likely getting a Deadpool/Wolverine teamup (likely with Tatum's Gambit and maybe even Wesley's Blade) so it's no holds barred starting with Doomsday. I actually think it'll start with F4 First Steps. I have a really strong theory of why they have picked a different Earth set in the 1960s. Why did they pick a Jetsons-esque 1960s? You could set it in any time. Because the 1960's would solve a very huge problem for Marvel. The Magneto Problem. His origin story is tied to humanity's biggest shame. So to try and remake his origin story to something else would needlessly compare the 2 events and you just CAN'T compare to The Holocaust. So by setting this universe on a Earth in the 1960's you can cast a late 20's early 30's actor to play a role that would have him like 100 in our universe. Soooooo Fantastic 4 may be the introduction to the MCU's X-Men!!!

Solid Top 10. And I've stopped prior to the announcement of #1 (which from clues dropped along the way I feel fairly confident I know what it will be) because there is just 1 really glaring omission. Shogun!! For a second there I was really questioning myself about it's release. But yeah, it's been almost a year now since it first aired. But holy shit, that was really amazing. Anna Sawai crushed it & won all of the awards!! The rest of the cast was phenomenal. Every part of what goes into making a show/movie was just tremendous. Costume, set design, makeup, stunts.

I watched it twice just to make sure I wasn't missing something but it is definitely one of the worst films of the year for me add well. At least one of the 30 worst films. I thought the animation was mostly awful and uninspired as well. Terrible year for animation overall imo.
