I Thought I Knew music by Ryan Keberle, lyrics by Mantsa Miro I walked along these concrete shores before and looked into the midnight sky and though I always knew there must be more its depth had never drawn my eye. Tonight it pulls me as though it wants to sweep me to outer space from where I won’t return. My mind draws open to swallow the stars and all their light. Now I can feel how small I had been with my supernova heart. I thought I knew who I had been before. I thought I knew where I had stood. Yet now I have discovered something more that in me there is so much room. That thoughts - untethered - falling through space like feathers could fill me up and fly me home again.
