I got to see him a few times in Los Alamos before the got big and I thought he would be one of the worlds greatest guitarists ever. One night I sat at the bar and drank a bunch of beers with his dad. His dad was really cool. And then a few years later he got rid of his band and got a bunch of younger dudes to play for him. And he lost it. The bass player and drummer he got rid of were older but had a synergism that allowed Ryan to do his thing. But I guess he thought he needed something bigger to get more famous. I gave up on him.
