ok i would just like to point out that the dude that eats his own eyes is not harming himself. If you payed any attention to that clip you would see that the eye ball was very easy to pull out and therefore most likely not even attached in the first place just as it is not painful for eda's head to be chopped off. Another thing is that the eye goes back to exact same place as he pulled it out of after he put it in his mouth. It is litterally just a weird habit or trick he likes that is comparable to the weird thing Luz did with her eyelids in the begining.

You make a fair point about the Eye Guy, really XD And I mean it's fair to come up with minor criticisms or points in a review, I think, especially when there's not many bigger points to make on that front I like that you compare the Boiling Isles to Weirdmageddon because of vore rather than weirdness Alex voices various characters in this show, in this episode he voices Gildersnake from the cold open, that one Grunkle Stan-sounding Guard, King, Hooty. Fun little side note: On a Gravity Falls Commentary, Grunkle Stan actually talks about his ex-wife and perfectly describes Eda. The commentary was recorded during development of TOH, too. There's also one or two Gravity Falls references in this show, and many to TOH in Gravity Falls: Lost Legends.

I'm glad you enjoyed the first episode. Honestly, I felt like Luz, the main character was bland too, but then I find many main characters to be somewhat on the plain side. I really can relate to the weirdness angle as well as an aspect of another character you'll see later. I may expand on that when we get to it. I hope you do continue this show. It's excellent.

@@illumynarty Nice ;) I'm already starting season 2 of "The Owl House", but the first two episodes feel very different from those of season 1, I don't know why. Perhaps they change the writers or something, because it feels more chaotic and not going anywhere in particular. But maybe it's only temporary. If you like "The Owl House" though, I also recommend "Amphibia" which is another great show from Disney, and kinda connected with "The Owl House" and "Gravity Falls" :> Another good show I recently watched is "She-Ra and the Princesses of Power" - if you don't mind tons of LGBT stuff, it's a very good show, with great art style and music, and phenomenal writing, especially for a certain kitty ;)

@@bonbonpony I'm well aware of Amphibia, although I still have a bunch of other shows I'm trying to finish at the moment, don't want to have too much on my plate at once. Also, as long as the show doesn't constantly blatantly rub the LGBT stuff in the viewer's faces I don't mind. This kind of stuff in my opinion is best left as just something in the background and shouldn't be the entire basis of the show, as this usually leads to the show focusing more on that than the actual plot itself and as a consequence the quality of the show suffers. But that's just my take on it
