Apparently the extra scene right at the end was done at the request of Chris Evans, which is revealed in the special features on the Apple TV download version, including the explanation of why it was filmed. This should have been used during the actual credits, where all the other MCU movies have something really interesting and funny. Definitely much better than what they did put for that bit (bloopers, interviews, behind the scenes, that sort of thing).
