What gets me is how people who are pro forced DEI don't realise that it makes things worse, not better. If something doesn't flow naturally with the story, if it feels shoehorned in, then it stands out in a bad way. A poster child of this is the all women flash mob at the end of Avenger Endgame, where all the women who were supposed to be spread out across the battlefield, or doing other things, happened to all gather into one spot to help the one women who didn't need any help. Most of those women didn't know each other, and a couple, like Nebula, wouldn't have cared to help anyway. By being SO forced, instead of highlighting female empowerment, it undermined it, because if the female empowerment was legit it wouldn't have had to be forced. Instead of being a feminist power move, that sequence wound up being a misogynist statement on how women can't be powerful unless its fake.

That was about 1970. My parents were there. We watched movies as a family. They weren't the best parents, but they did do that at least. VCR's came out when I started high school. I wasn't allowed to have one in my room. My parents wanted to know what I was watching. I had a TV. We did not have cable. I could watch CBS, ABC, NBC, and PBS. That was all. Any questionable programming didn't come into our house. If you're relying on a machine or a corporation to decide what your kids should be watching, you're failing as a parent. YOU are the one that should decide what your kids see, not Disney.

I’m more sick of the unnecessary remakes and sequels than the LGBTQin the ANIMATED films. But I disagree with those creepy men ‘come after your children’. I HATE how the LGBTQ is so aggressive, extreme and disrespectful. And it CAN be harming with the genders and forcing children in a box. I’m gay and I don’t want to be apart of the rainbow group. It's good to have representation in media, just as long as it doesn't interfere with the material itself. Representation for every single group doesn't need to be in every piece of media because certain media will be for certain people. Not every movie is for everyone, and that's ok. I'm glad we have people like Ryan Reynolds fighting for these types of movies where you can just go and have fun watching the humour that people love so much with Deadpool.
