As usual a superb show. One thing: I used to live near Baltimore and went to the Visionary Art Museum (located near the renovated port side) and it is a very interesting collection, wonderfully curated. Outsider/folk art is my favorite creative genre. I will make a tiny correction: not all Outsider/visionary art is fine by the mentally disabled. Some of it is done by merely folk or untaught artists (naive artists) or even children. But glad you got to visit it…

Weren’t the Herculoids designed by Jack Kirby?

It was all Alex Toth. There are plenty of design sheets by him. After the success of Space Ghost, Hanna-Barbera was hired by CBS to develop 3 new cartoons. In turn, Toth was tasked with creating 2 of them. He came up with Shazzan and Herculoids. That was the mid 1960s. Kirby didn’t start working in animation until 1979.

@ yeah I went down a bit of a rabbit hole. Kirby worked as a character designer on the Space Stars show which featured the Herculoids years after the original run.
