We call it 5-3-1 (9 points total per hole) when we are a 3Ball but it works more or less the same...and you can put a value to each point like for example $10 per point (unit). We also add 2 points for longest drive in fairway on par 5's, 2 points for closet to pin on par 3's, 2 points for green under regulation, 2 points for a "sandy" (up and down par from bunker), 2 points for a birdy, 4 points for an eagle. Can run up to a lot but usually it all evens out after 18 holes but if one dominates the other 2 can loose plenty! So all 2 make par = 3 points each. One wins hole with birdy gets 5 points and other two make par and get 2 points each...adds up to 9 points, unless one of the extra's like a birdy etc. is made.
