I don’t entirely disagree with that, that could be what’s going on. But if she is pregnant with his child I don’t think “family” would be in quotes. I think the doctors appt were their signal for a time to meet up.

When Ryan said “this could all be possible” when the cheater defended himself, the cheater got reassurance that someone is on his side hence why he’s so calm. A person can lie better when they have reassurance that they aren’t being attacked, notice how he was like “yeah, this could be possible” and just goes on.
