Just my personal view that alot of our support and staff at celtic are now happy to see the quality of our squad drop massively from peak ange where we should have been looking to improve on. If we want to be making good progress in and beyond european group stages we need to be at a level that players like bernardo, scales, palma arent even bench worthy. Its something thatll not happen but the real young talent across europe tagged around 8-13m is where we should be looking.

This might be a very controversial take but I think it might be time that Kyogo moves on. And no this isn’t me saying I think he’s a bad player absolutely far from it, I love the guy and would love him to stay for longer, but I think we’ve seen through long portions of this season and with the emergence of Idah that Rodgers had greatly struggled to get the best out of Kyogo in the system that he plays and to be honest I can’t see that changing. He’s also getting on in age and his value is depreciating so it might be the time to cash in. It’s not an opinion i’m willing to die on a hill for but it has crossed my mind and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen.

I strongly disagree Rodgers system failed to get the best out of Kyogo but is still huge player for celtic and our best striker. Plus with the money we would get for him we wouldn’t be able to get a replacement anywhere near as good

Really good video and I agree with every single player. Although debating putting Kyogo into the important category, can never happen. A "TOP" player is a p;layer who performs in the big games and very rarely lets the team down in those. In so many games when we have been average, his spark has won us games. I know in the cup final he wasn't at it but he really wasn't fed in that game and top teams don't just have won TOP player, that's why we need 5/6 and that is probably why we won the league. Players like ORiley / Kyogo / Hatate / CCV / McGregor. All shining and getting the team over the line in big games. Drogba didn't score statistically enough goals for Chelsea but he was a TOP player and any fan after he left would admit he was irreplaceable. No hate, there's just no question for me at where he stands 🍀💚

I’m not going say Bernardo can replace O’Riely atm. But I can see him developing into a sure starter. There just wasn’t the opportunity this season one Cal, Matt and Reo were healthy

With the new champions League format of 8 games, I'm not certain that O'Reilly is definitely going. Unless he goes to a team in the champions League. One more year would be better for him.

Absolutely agree with those, I don't get why Yang is being defended, he barely beats his man, tries ball trickery and loses possession. He does have a turn of pace, but does absolutely nothing with it. Would definitely punt him. If we get Idah in I believe Oh will most likely go out on loan.

Hyeon-gyu Oh should be loaned to Aberdeen since Miovski is likely off down south and they'll need a replacement striker. I like him as a player. I'm a Bluewings fan so I was a bit surprised to see his name when he signed. Oh was the only thing keeping Bluewings from relegation, he is an absolute unit. He is Giorgos Gioukamakis without the flare. He can be heavy on the ball at times, not the best finisher either. We should have known he wouldn't get a start ahead of Kyogo + now that Idah has broke through the squad, it's safe to say he won't have much game time next season either. Dons have a new manager from Scandinavia and we have found success with Liam Scales when he came back on-loan. I wouldn't want to sell him on just yet. Kwon was also one of those players the board likely signed for marketing value to sell shirts and grab foreign media attention in Korea. The board could have easily gone for Nesbet over Oh. Same goes for Marco Tilio, likely a scouting leftover from when Ange was in charge. Kwon has had some game time at St. Mirren and put in some very good performances, so he would be one I would keep as a backup until he gets enough game time and proves himself in the first time. He is only in his 20's and it's his first season in Europe. Going from Busan I-Park in K2 after serving in the military to being written off instantly after two pre-season games is very harsh. Yang has had some good performances but he just isn't quite at that level yet. Maybe a domestic loan to Dundee would suit him well as they have a very impressive youth setup and training facilities, finishing 6th this season. I feel as if fans may regret in future selling off these players. They might not be word-class performance-wise, but they can develop further if given a chance on-loan. I remember earlier on in the season, people were calling for Alistair Johnston's and Joe Hart's head because of a few poor performances. Celtic have probably the most spoilt fanbase there is. I get it, the club has a high standard and expectations. But you can't crucify players for a few bad games when the team as a whole is under new management and tactics. The squad is heavily bloated as well, with players fighting for a spot in XI. It takes time to adapt. Celtic has one of the largest fanbases in world football with hundreds of supporters club. Could easily fill a 100,000 stadium. My friends in Shizuoka and Hangzhou watch every Celtic match, waking up at 2 in the morning to catch a game against Ross County. Signing these sorts of players from Asia, the Americas and Oceania helps to expand the brand of Celtic which can lead to more opportunities down the line. The problem with that is that you may sign a few duds that don't make much on an impact on the squad like Yuki Kobayashi and Alexandro Bernabei.

We need to do something in the next window that our board have seldom done in recent history... that is to be seriously ambitious in the market, which likely also means big money being spent. We need to be looking at players that can contribute the figures like Jota and Abada could, perhaps a more consistent version of Abada at least, we need not just an O'Riley replacement but we could do with another experienced head in CM of the ilk similar to Mooy. If Celtic and Rodgers are serious about supposed european ambitions, then there is an alarming amount of work needed on this squad as well as Rodgers adjusting his footballing ideas to better use Kyogo - you simply do not have a ST in Kyogo getting 39 goal involvements in Ange's final season to then dropping off and getting 24 goal involvements, Rodgers needs to play a better game that utilises Kyogo. As great as Idah has been and I would happily sign Idah for anything less than £7.5mill btw, Kyogo is levels above but is down to Rodgers to properly use his talents which is where the losses of talents like Jota, Abada, Mooy have all been sorely missed

Maeda/palma and Haksa/Kuhn with idah up top for me is good enough for Europe if high with confidence and playing collectively. Definitely new CB,LB and GK needed with Paulo taking o’Riley’s spot

In defense of Oh, i saw a stat recently that said in terms of non-penalty goals per minute this season, him and Idah are pretty much the same. If you could get a loan out to the English championship for Oh i think you would get a quality player back. I would say the same for Yang as well

Mostly agree here, but I think we should keep Yang and loan him out. He has had flashes of quality and needs to mature. Same with Holm. There's definitely a player there, but he needs to show a bit more. I think he and Lagerbielke kind of put themselves out of the team with the red cards against Feyenoord. Neither has been seen much since then. I think people are getting carried away with Forrest's short burst of form at the end of the season. Surely he can't be seen as important going forward. A good squad player who can come in and do a job in short spells.

agree with most of this. however, of course the problem with the "punt them" list, and the reason why some have stayed for so long, is because nobody wants them. mikey johnston NOW has proved himself and might gain suitors. can't really see many of the others making us any money. maybe oh? so i guess sometimes worthwhile keeping a player rather than punting him when there's no value to it.

Oh - new to the country, new to European style football, in his first season with us had 7 goals in 591 minutes. Idah, who has at least had some game time and goals already in the English championship this season, has come to Celtic and got 11 goal involvements in 808 minutes. Oh absolutely has the talent and absolutely hasn't been given a chance under Rodgers... Just looking at the sharp drop off from Kyogo as well is evident enough that this is down the style Rodgers wants to play inspite of players that are far, far better playing a more instinctive, faster paced style

His achilles heal is his poor passing. His stats for giving the ball away and also putting others under pressure with his passes and they lose it are high compared to the rest. Does the defending in the box well, but we need a CCV level or better CD.

Don't think the last two transfer windows will prove to be quite as dire as the Anti-Board Brigade amongst our support kept broadcasting to the world and his wife. We shall see. However I agree we got a bit lucky without another goalkeeper and left back. The first now is of course, mandatory and hopefully the other will come in the summer. I did see some idiot journo online describing Kyogo as 'a Japanese flop' .. yes you read that correctly..🤣 and that he should be immediately replaced as Celtic's No 1 Striker because he was ineffective on Saturday. Clearly the clown doesn't understand that strikers depend on service and that was virtually non-existent for the wee man. If we can tie up Idah permanently that gives us another option upfront and having two top-class strikers for different tactical occasions will be fantastic?

Need for in Europe to purchase a better Cback for Scales position he is very ordinary a player and not near good enough for Europe neither is Vickers ..Have seen good Celtic cbacks in theto the team and pay out on them more millions as no excuses this wages piss ..
