Rick Astley is one of the best singers from the 80's. His music is great and he was way more hits than Never Going to Give You Up. Songs like Together Forever is awesome and is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Yeah, I have to disagree with you, Happy Kid. My wife is British, and when she used to sing as a kid, her mother told her that she had to try to "sound more American". So yes, it is an active attempt to sound American when a lot of people sing.

I've always liked his 'Never gonna Give you up' song and I still play it to this day. I always thought the people who made his song into a joke was the annoying part. But I came into the world before it was ever some "Rick-Roll" punchline and I feel like this song is very positive and fun to dance to. Even the beat is really fun to listen to without lyrics, a bit ahead of its time in terms of sound
