The shortest take off roll and quickest climb I ever experienced in a standard passenger flight was in a 737-200 shorty of all things in the early 90’s. There was hardly anybody on the flight and the FO actually came back and said we were gonna scoot out pretty quickly. It was foggy that day and they wanted to get on top of it quick so noise restrictions be damned sort of thing. A little taste of what the Space Shuttle must feel like.

When I flew into Madrid from Mallorca last summer on Ryanair, I genuinely thought we were going to crash because we kept suddenly dropping at such fast rates on the descent. Then slammed into the ground on landing, it was a miracle the wheels didn't break off

Cant agree with that at all. Fly with RA regularly and its generally butter. Had a BA landing in gatwick about a month ago and I thought my arse was going to tear along the tarmac.

I used them 2/3 times a year pre pandemic, A paid for flight moved 3 times and the cost doubled. Will never use them again, Very rarely had a landing that i didn't think the main gear was going to break. Mostly fly easyJet now, ( 3 last year,2 this year), always smooth landings.

I think it's a short haul flight so they didn't refuel in large quantities, so the plane is lighter and maybe not too many passengers or not too much cargo stuff

it's referred to in aviation terminology as ( FRS) which is : fast rolling start, u get to roll from the taxi way onto the main departure runway with immediate take-off clearance, most planes do hold at end of taxi way then get permission to enter the main runway and hold in parked position until they get ATC clearance/ permission for take-off and then proceed to initiate take-off thurt/trotle procedure or else they get charged with runway infringement fines
