Sounds like all the voice actors phoned it in for this series. Poindexter especially sounds like a robot (in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he was an android, lol). Fun fact, Felix, in this iteration, shares a voice actor with Popeye the Sailor.

I always like Felix the Cat. I never really watched the series with the whole Magic Bag thing, I grew up with a lot of the older one so those are my favorites. Not when it was a silent cartoon but more around the time of bold King Cole. Watching the silent films, the earlier color episodes, and some of the more recent ones with the magic bag back to back shows how much they've changed his character. I think that's kind of interesting

I am glad that Popx Rainbow chose to keep the original aspect ratio rather than try to elongate the picture to conform to the 19:5 configuration that conforms to HDTV, it gives contemporary viewers a good idea of what the cartoon looked like when they were first broadcasted.

I think I read something about this show being for little kids, as opposed to his "Twisted adventures" version. If so, it makes sense to make a paused dialogue. Also, in oder to keep the attention of the little ones, there are a brief review of what happened in the course of the episode, just like the scene in 3:53. I recall the portuguese dubbed version having a slow dialogue too, but its not as paused as this is, its just slow paced.
