I think they are the ones who knew the saga with prime, and they are confused because they are waiting for Prime 4 and now they announce 5, I imagine they are not aware that Metroid (2D) and Metroid Prime are 2 different game sagas.

@@Drackormort Yeah, Fusion gets referred to as Metroid 4 I think exactly once, at the very start. And while it's clear that it takes place after prior games, the EXACT chronology of the series isn't super important to its story. Add in that the first three Metroid games are all SNES era or older, plus the HUGE gaps in time between 3-4 and especially between 4 and now 5, and I'm not surprised you get people losing the plot. Heck, Metroid Fusion released in NA _literally one day after the first Metroid Prime game._ That's how big of a gap we're talking about. The entirety of Metroid Prime has taken place between mainline 4 and 5 in real-time. I think this is also why you got people who were like "a non-Prime Metroid game? I'm not super hyped" -- It had been NINETEEN YEARS since Fusion. For all intents and purposes, Prime WAS the mainline Metroid series, and a non-Prime game translated to something like Other M, Federation Force, or another remake.

The main reason was because nobody was hyped or had anything interesting to say about it since it was already revealed in the last direct. Most people at that point were talking about prior games that was announced. It was that and because that segment was pretty long so decided to skip it. Sorry either way though, I probably should of at least shown something of it.
