Remember, don't pay it any attention unless it's hitting the US and in your area. But there's nothing wrong with buying some cases of water and non perishable food just in case. That's my only prep. 10 cases of water and lots of liquor and beer for a potential hurricane party.

From Florida here, Beryl is just getting worse every day. Got that notification from the Weather Channel this morning telling me that it was ALREADY a powerful Category 4 hurricane. It's been sunny, but Florida will probably get leftover rains. In my area, there is a chance of flash flooding, so HOPEFULLY it isn't bad. And obviously, Don't be scared, BE PREPARED!

We had a weird almost tornatic wind today in Grays Creek North Carolina. My father was out shopping and had to stay in his car after seeing people leaving the store need to brace themselves to walk to their cars. Upon returning home he said there are piles of pine needles in the middle of the road here. I was sleeping and wasn’t aware of it. After moving from SE Michigan that never got any weather that was predicted (it always went around us), I moved to the gulf coast last summer. Though the forecasters down here are little unorthodox (Fox WXXV-25 for example, I won't call out any names but their weather guys rock and are funny. Hey any meteorologist who refers to humidity levels as low, medium, high and crappy (yes, the word crappy and miserable are tossed around like official labels), have to be good at what they do and are normally spot on. But I have learned down here, there is no dodging anything and it could be raining cats/dogs/gators 3 miles down the road while I'm roasting by the pool at my location. Weather comes in from any direction the compass has numbers, i.e.,360 degree's. Just crazy. Nothing like the northern weather that was lame, unpredictable and the guys in Detroit were more wrong then right. Keep up the good work Ryan and now that I'm in Hurricane country, I'll be watching your channel that much more shipmate. 73's

Im glad i found this channel. Ever since the end of may living in Milwaukee,Wisconsin things have been crazy. Tons of rain this season, tornados all over SE Wisconsin. Thank you for the updates cus the local weather is constantly wrong

Northwestern Wisconsin here. No, we do not need any more rain! It is starting to feel like all hell is breaking loose. Even the birds are acting weird.

Do you see any bees up there? I am just west of Milwaukee on 1 acre with conservancy behind the property, a full 3500 sq ft garden and landscape beds on 60% of the remaining property filled with flowers. I did a walk around and I didn't see any bees, only 2 wasps, very few insects. There are 100's of flowers. A 6' diameter lavender plant is usually swarming with bees in previous years, no bees. I did see some earlier when the plants first started blooming.

@@RayH- oh, that's scary. That place should be humming! I have seen a couple bees and earlier, a couple wasps. Come to think of it, I haven't seen much of them either. My neighbor had a wasp nest starting but she is highly allergic and had to bid them farewell. I wonder if the DNR has any info.

Im not surprised by August weather right now. I keep an eye on a different calendar and the weather is actually right on time. I expect an "early" winter too, although, it will actually be on time as well. That's the problem with the fixed gregorian calendar. 🙂

1 day later, Beryl is making landfall on Jamaica, projected to be a cat 2 at this point, is now a cat 5. I know projections are fickle, but what does this mean for It's potential now?
