A shorter but well written paper with good arguments is way preferable to a longer but poorly written paper that says nothing of value. The word count forces students to come up with better explanations, but that's not really what's important. It's just easier to say something in 800 words than it is to do so in 200. It's actually to _help you_ that we ask for a certain word count. In university, you'll realize that concision is much more important, because teachers expect their students to be able to gauge themselves what's of value and what's not.

Actually, Anakin had the advantage with the lowground. Anakin was a further target from Obi-Wan than Obi-Wan was from Anakin, because our hands extend furthest straight forward, not downwards.

If Anakin had jumped in front of Obi-Wan, he would absolutely have been able to slash his legs off. Unfortunately, he would probably stumble forward on landing, making a head chop from Obi-Wan very easy, or stumble backwards (which is game over). Even then, Obi-Wan could’ve force pushed him into the river anyway. Landing behind Obi-Wan was also very not smart, as demonstrated in the film. The best plan would’ve been to jump to Obi-Wan’s level of elevation, but a couple of meters to either side. I have unintentionally made this comment quite apt in length, and I apologise.

Most average students do is make the essay needlessly verbose just to meet the word count - which hinders communication of ideas: you know, one of the *fundamental tenets* of education. Paragraph counts are far superior since you don't need to make the essay verbose and you can still communicate the same idea with a smaller vocabulary. Vocabulary efficiency, m8. We are in dire need to reform academic writing. Also, fuck essays, make us do something ACTUALLY useful like two students from CANADA who made a god blessed CATHEDRAL out of gingerbread and ice cream cones, now THAT IS EDUCATION. The skills I get from undertrained and underpaid teachers mean nothing if I don't have the means to apply them.
