Marriage had a pretty defined purpose a few centuries (or even decades) ago, which had to do mainly with ensuring hereditary rights to the children born from the relationship. Now there're other legal instances to achieve the same goal. In the 21st century, marriage is not as important or necessary as it use to be. Kind regards!

I think that the reason y'all aren't as "mean" to Daina isn't bc she's a girl, but rather bc she's so... pure cinnamon roll. I mean, in a friend group, there will always be that "pure" friend. I'm one of them, usually, and I have female friends who are much smaller and "conventionally pretty" than I am who are not considered as "pure" as I am. Hope that made sense.
