I can DEFINITELY see the green in the sky on this storm. I hope that you and your family weren't harmed in any way during this storm, Ryan. I've only seen one "green" sky when I was a teen back in Long Island; after getting out of the foster care system. We had a BUNCH of hail and STRONG winds!!! The next day driving around the neighborhood it LOOKED LIKE we'd had a tornado touch down in the area. I mean... there were HUGE trees snapped off and on peoples' houses and blocking the roads!!! But I've yet to actually SEE a tornado. And (at 60 yrs old) I STILL want to see one with my own eyes.

I found it interesting the huge changes in volume of the tornado siren. How the wind must have been whipping the sound waves around to make the audio level appear to fluctuate that much! And the street lights on in the daytime. How dark did it have to be in order to make that happen?! Auto irises on video cameras will always try to bring light levels up, to compensate for darkness, so I’m guessing it was even darker in person than it appears here. Lightning frequency tells an ominous story as well.

@@T0R2346 it’s caused by lots of hail refracting the light that’s coming inside of the storm. Since the sky is blue it looks green. That’s also why the color changes around sunset. Usually if a storm is strong enough to produce that much hail, there’s a decent chance it could go tornadic. Pecos Hank has a great video on this.
