yes you can. go to the shader editor. change the type to world, so you can see the world nodes. then plug a mapping and texture coordinate node up to the hdri texture node. then use the mapping rotation Z value to rotate the HDRI.

Hi! I've been deep in these tutorials for 3 days. But with the Lighting chapter, I'm missing so many of the properties that you are showing. I get two choices under Cycle render. And under World lighting, I get nothing under the the world properties. I only get two choices, viewport display and custom properties!!😭😭 I don't get Surface, Preview, volume, Ray visibility, etc. None of that. So like ever other beginning Blender Tutorial series I've tried to follow, I'm STUCK again. I'm using. 4.2.3. I can't believe I'm freaking stuck.....Again! I'll gladly donate if you'll help me. PLEASE!

@@maxime1189 I figure it out. You have to be in another menu for those choices to come up. If you add another panel and navigate to shader, it will come up. This program is so confusing!!

Hey! I used EEVEE to render my project because pc too slow for Cycles. When I put the HDRI image (same one as yours), it removed almost all shadows. I tried adding a sun light so there is a *little bit* of shadows but it was barely noticeable. Would you know of a way to make it so the HDRI image casts shadows in Eevee render mode? Thanks for the awesome tutorial :)

Hi, I'm the using 4.3 version, when ever I try to use HDRI environment, it just shows me a gray environment,it seems it won't load, I'm pretty sure I downloaded the 1k HDR version but it won't work :(

I had the same issue, I solved it by pressing numpad-5. It will switch from orthographic view to perspective.
