After years of bow hunting these things my preferred shots are face on or from the rear. The front hit has given me better quick kills I believe than the broadside hit. I use the Slick Trick standard head and provide fantastic penetration because they are small and sharp. I have only. 426 grain arrow at around 280 fps. It’s a killer arrow especially on these little targets. I honestly believe a lot of bow hunters just get the pin somewhere on the bird and fire instead of working on hitting them where it really counts. 👍👍

Great video Would love to see a video like this on mallards and gooses. I know that they are only hunted with shotguns in the USA they’re hunted with rifles all over the world

Personally I don't want the arrow to go thru the bird, I use N.A.P Gobbler Getters with a stopper behind it, out of my 65 lb. deer hunting bow. Usually anything under 15 yards, I'll get a pass thru, with a massive amount of vitals & feathers, stuck on the end of the arrow, when aiming at the wing butt. After 15 yards, the arrow will hit like a ton of bricks, and stick in the bird, Lights Out !

Fellow Stick bow guys DO NOT SHOOT AT THE WING BUTT. Shoot straight up the legs always. Take out that landing gear 👍🏼 our bows will never make it through all the wing feather quils and bones.

Uhm ....what bow are you using to not go through a turkey?
@EthanPageHunter5 ай бұрын
@@raypara4036 you do realize that turkeys are tougher to shoot through than deer right…..? There is no comparison. Very few people get passes on turkeys even with 70lb compounds it may not make it
