I remember when I was 21 and dating a girl who lived about 1h drive from my place. I had Sparkle & Fade and Sponge Wax Ecstatic on heavy rotation on 2 musicassette on my old Opel radio. So Everclear were the musical guest on the first (and only) episode of Saturday Night Live I watched (it doesn't really air over here), John Goodman was hosting and me and my group of dickhead friends spent the next several months making 'Bill Brasky scissor kicked Angela Lansbury' jokes. We were in the middle of a LAN party at the time, alternating between X-Wing vs. Tie-Fighter and jumping in the pool and trying to throw each other out of it. Anyway, that was actually the first time I remember hearing the song. Great pick.

hehe, I was noticing the same thing when I was making the thumbnail! funny how words slip by until you look at them just right. I'm an insanely medium sized 5'9" tall. I even wear a size Medium in just about every brand. I've come to identify and be very comfortable with my medium-ness. it's even a nice word... medium. lots of soft sounds in there. Anyway, randy Newman. I'd like to do some of his things, including that, and a campfire version of you've got a friend in me. that would be fun and tricky!

I do. but it's just two broken bells hanging on a string with just the right sized knot so that one or both fall off, which was totally not on purpose, for the record. I'll order a new bell, paint it orange, destroy it, and add it to the string soon :)
